Best disease(Best vitelliform macular dystrophy, BVMD) is a rare autosomal dominant disorder due to the mutation of BEST1(or VMD2, TU15B...) gene with incomplete penetrance and variable expression which typically presents in childhood. However, there are also reports of autosomal recessive BVMD. Its characteristic presentation is by bilateral fundus changes of egg-yolk appearance(as in a fried egg with sunny side up) at the macula in both eyes. The retinal pigment epithelium(RPE) is primarily affected.... The visual prognosis of the disease is usually good, usually maintaining driving/reading capability in at least one eye throughout life. 5, record 1, English, - Best%27s%20disease

An adhesive, usually a coating of wax is applied to the emulsion side of a wrong reading image positive stripping film. A sharp but delicate knife is used to cut around the type image and using a pair of tweezers, the thin emulsion layer is peeled off and positioned on a clear map overlay. Finally, by using a burnishing tool, the thin emulsion layer containing the type image and coated with wax, is rubbed down thereby ensuring better adhesion. The same process may be done using negative stripping film and a map negative overlay. 3, record 4, English, - type%20affixing

4, record 4, French, - positionnement%20des%20%C3%A9critures

The accuracy of the position line obtained from a particular Loran C reading deteriorates as the ship moves from the closely spaced lattice lines in the vicinity of the baseline between the master and that particular station, towards the extension of this baseline beyond the master or the secondary station concerned. Baseline extensions are marked with a pecked line on Canadian charts. Within a zone extending about 20 microseconds each side of the baseline extension, the readings on that station pair will respond very sluggishly to a large change in position and are useless for navigation. 5, record 5, English, - base%20line%20extension

3, record 5, French, - prolongement%20de%20la%20ligne%20de%20base
