Traditionally, piano benches are longer and wider. They’re designed to accommodate duets, offering ample space for two players to sit side by side comfortably. Piano benches tend to be sturdier and heavier, providing stability during intense practice sessions or performances.... On the other hand, piano stools are typically smaller and more compact. They may feature a cushioned or unpadded seat and are often lighter in weight. Piano stools come in various designs, with some featuring a single central leg and others boasting a set of legs closer together. 2, record 3, English, - piano%20stool

A paraglider is made up of the wing, rigging(lines), small carabiner, and risers.... Lines. Commonly known as lines(a set of rigging) measuring variously between 0. 4-1. 7 mm, even 2. 2 mm, their high level of strength or weight resistance depends on their thickness and the properties of material used in its construction. They are usually concerned with a protective sheath to guard against ground friction and are made from dyneema, kevlar, spectra, superaramid and so on. The lines attach the wing to risers which in turn are attached to the pilots harness, and extend from the wings downward side in the order specified by the particular manufacturer, gradually tapering off in thickness and number via a series of quick links. The second book of the set of works by the CIDECT [Committee International for the Development and the Study of Tubular construction] under the general title "Construction with Hollow Steel Sections" is dedicated to phenomena of instability : buckling, distortion, spreading. Because of the shape of its section and the particularly favourable distribution of matter in the straight section, a hollow profile, of circular or rectangular shape, behaves distinctly better than an open profile section under the demands of compression. In remaining within the limits of the relation of the diameter or the width of side divided by the thickness of partition, given in this dimensioning guide, the local hollow profile distortion can be disregarded. On the other hand, the resistance to spreading is, in practice, not verified because hollow profiles possess a distinctly larger polar rigidity than open section profiles. 1, record 14, English, - open%20section%20profile

2, record 14, French, - profil%20ouvert

poaching: a strategy in doubles play in which the player closest to the net extends the range of his reach by cutting in front of his or her partner in order to attempt a volley on the return of serve intended for his partner waiting near the baseline. 3, record 25, English, - poach

There is a slight difference between "poaching" and "interception". The first term implies a resolve to move over to one's partner's side of the court, whether one is expecting to make contact with the ball or not. The second term implies less doubt as to whether the ball will come or not. It will come and the player will meet the ball to put it away. In general, the French term "interception" conveys both English meanings. In English, the term "poaching" denotes a strategy as well as a set of specific actions used in doubles play; the term "poach" is the result of these actions. The French term "braconnage" denotes the action, while the term "interception" denotes the result. Related terms : crisscrossing, switching, to intervene. 3, record 25, English, - poach

Even if your success rate is not all it could be, the threat you pose may be sufficient to earn other points, and to feint the interception when you have no intention of following through can induce a weak response which can be put away by your team-mate ... Displays and Control Module(DCM)... Along the top are switches for power, communications mode selection, caution and warning. There is also a switch that controls the water that is fed to the Liquid Cooling-and-Ventilation Garment. A digital display is used to monitor the various suit circuits. At the top left of this module is an emergency relief valve. If the primary life support system were to ever malfunction, the astronaut would still have access to the secondary oxygen pack. To activate this secondary oxygen pack, all the astronaut would have to do is open a purge valve by squeezing a set of pinchers. This valve releases air pressure on the chest plate-this is the same valve that is used at the end of EVA [Extravehicular Activity] to depressurize the suit. Also on the left, a step down from the purge valve, is the mechanical-suit pressure gauge. Along the right-hand side of the module, are two switches : the ventilation-fan switch and the push-to-talk switch. The ventilation-fan switch can activate and deactivate a fan which circulates air through the helmet and other parts of the suit. The push-to-talk switch is similar to one you would find on a CB [Citizen Band] radio. If the astronaut wants to talk, he has to push the button to be heard, and if he wants to receive voice messages, he has to release the button. On the front of the panel are other controls for volume, temperature, and suit pressure. 2, record 46, English, - display%20and%20control%20module

There is a slight difference between "poaching" and "interception". The first term implies a resolve to move over to one's partner's side of the court, whether one is expecting to make contact with the ball or not. The second term implies less doubt as to whether the ball will come or not. It will come and the player will meet the ball to put it away. In more general French term "interception" conveys both English meanings. In English, the term "poaching" denotes a strategy as well as a set of specific actions used in doubles play; the term "poach" is the result of these actions. The French term "braconnage" denotes the action, while the term "interception" denotes the result. Related terms : crisscrossing, switching, to intervene. 2, record 67, English, - poaching

In-mould labeling(IML) is a relatively recent addition to the category of predecoration that is available for blow-molded plastic bottles.... The basic in-mold label system utilizes a paper label that has a heat-activated coating on the back side. The label is placed in the mold at the beginning of the blow-molding cycle before the mold closes around the parison.... The label is held in position by vacuum ports. When the parison of plastic is extruded and the molds close and air is injected to inflate the parison, the heat from the parison activates the label adhesive coating. During the mold-close cycle, the combination of the high inject air pressure and the cold-mold surface causes the adhesive to set and the label to adhere to the bottle surface in a heat-seal fashion. 2, record 70, English, - in%2Dmold%20labeling

8, record 70, French, - d%C3%A9coration%20dans%20le%20moule

Handicapping in tennis... Known players are allotted a handicap annually that mirrors their competitive results.... Points are awarded as either received or owed odds in each group of six games of a set, according to your standard of play. Players cannot be given a handicap greater than owe 50, or more than receive 40... For the purpose of matching the handicaps of different handicap players, handicaps are also graded above and below scratch(the handicap of 0), where. 1 owed or received equals a handicap of 1/6 of 15 owed or received.... When both players are handicapped to receive points or both to owe points, they play on the difference of their respective handicaps. In the case of received odds the player with the less odds goes back to scratch(love) and in owed odds he goes forward to scratch.... when players meet with handicaps on either side of scratch, two points owed are equal to one received.... 1, record 76, English, - scratch
