Tricks, or "freestyle figures, "are the artistic side of water-skiing. Points are awarded for the degree of difficulty of the manoeuvres, and how fast they are performed. You have two 20-second passes during which to perform as many tricks as you can. There are all kinds of tricks on the official schedule. You can ski backward, spin around, step over the tow rope, hold the handle with your foot, and even use a jumping ramp for somersaults. 2, record 2, English, - trick

Both the French and Spanish make much use of the anglicism "drive", albeit not in a correct fashion : In English "drive" is supposed to imply a ball hit with a lot of pace to win a point outright, regardless of the type of spin used to accomplish this task, and regardless of which side it is hit(forehand or backhand).(The terms "shot" and "stroke", being more neutral, need not imply any added spin whatsoever.) Most spacecraft are stabilized in flight either by spinning around a major axis, or by maintaining a fixed orientation in space, referenced to the Sun and another star. As the first dual-spin planetary spacecraft, Galileo combines these techniques. A spinning section rotates at about 3 rpm, and a "despun" section is counter-rotated to provide a fixed orientation for cameras and other remote sensors. A star scanner on the spinning side determines orientation and spin rate; gyroscopes on the despun side provide the basis for measuring turns and pointing instruments. 3, record 7, English, - despun%20section

The baseball pass is most often used to advance the ball up the floor. The ball is held with both hands on the ball, one on either side with the throwing hand usually a little higher on the ball. The ball is cocked up near the ear to aid in a quick release. The passers hand must be BEHIND the ball so the pass doesn’t have too much side spin, making it hard to catch. The pass is made over the defense, leading the receiver. 3, record 9, English, - baseball%20pass

The rotor of the air-driven gyro is mounted in a sealed housing. Filtered air is brought into the gyro housing through passages in the rear pivot, the gimbal ring, and the side pivots. The air then blows against the rotor through two angled nozzles on opposite sides of the housing. The circumference of the rotor is machined with dozens of little bucket-like cutouts which allow the airflow to spin the rotor like a waterwheel(but a whole lot faster). Having done its work, the air then exits through exhaust ports on the lower part of the sealed gyro housing, whereupon it is sucked out of the instrument case by the vacuum pump. 3, record 10, English, - gyro%20housing

Attitude indicator components (vacuum-driven). The rotor, mounted in a sealed housing, spins in a horizontal plane about the vertical axis. The housing pivots about the lateral axis on a gimbal, which in turn is free to pivot about the longitudinal axis. The instrument case is the third gimbal necessary for universal mounting. The horizon bar is linked to the gyro by a lever, attached to a pivot on the rear of the gimbal frame and connected to the gyro housing by a guide pin. 5, record 10, English, - gyro%20housing

Both the French and Spanish make much use of the anglicism «drive», albeit not in a correct fashion : In English «drive» is supposed to imply a ball hit with a lot of pace to win a point outright, regardless of the type of spin used to accomplish this task, and regardless of which side it is hit(forehand or backhand).(The terms "shot" and "stroke", being more neutral, need not imply any added spin whatsoever.) However in both French and Spanish, «drive» is also used often as a synonym for "forehand"(shot/stroke). 1, record 12, English, - flat%20forehand%20drive
