In particular, [the] system ... can provide the user with options for accessing the images, content, virtual objects, and VR [virtual reality] controls using eye gaze, hand gestures, head movements, and/or other user-based movements within the VR space. For example, a user can generate 3D [tridimensional] drawings in portions of the VR space and interact with such drawings using 2D [bidimensional] and 3D input devices, and tools configured to generate artistic drawings or annotations on drawings or other VR objects. 3, record 1, English, - hand%20gesture

In an embodiment, the hand... may start a training session in a semi-closed position, so it has room to open or close. The speed of the movement of [the] hand... may depend on information provided by kinematic sensors... For instance, the kinematic sensors... may provide a proportional control value to regulate the speed of movement of the hand... In an embodiment, the kinematic sensors... provide a value between 0 and 1 to the VR [virtual reality] control module... which reflects the speed of intended hand movement. If the value is closer to 0, the hand movement is correspondingly slow. If the value is closer to 1, the hand movement is correspondingly fast. In another embodiment, the speed of the movement of the hand... may depend on a measurement of the EMG [electromyographic] signal provided by the user. 2, record 1, English, - hand%20gesture

Simply put, the idea is to add signals(usually sine waves of differing amplitudes, frequencies, and phases) together to form a sound of interest... Subtractive synthesis is the dual of additive synthesis. The basic idea is to start with a signal rich in harmonic content, and selectively "remove" signals to create a desired effect. 1, record 2, English, - subtractive%20synthesis

1, record 2, French, - synth%C3%A8se%20soustractive

Most people with COVID-19 start shedding SARS-CoV-2 [severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2] within 24 hours of being infected through their feces. This "viral signal" detected in wastewater helps provide population-level estimates of the rate of infection in a city, indicating whether the number of infected people is increasing, decreasing or staying the same.

1, record 18, French, - recherches%20par%20mesure%20de%20l%27intensit%C3%A9%20du%20signal

The transfer mode should only be used after rapid alignment sequences have been completed in order to reduce the possibilities of initial drift associated with a cold start.... With the transfer gyro properly aligned, calibrated and connected to the plaftorm harness, the transfer command switch on the transfer handle is held depressed for 15 seconds, actuating relays [x, y, z]. The transfer gyro error signal is passed to the azimuth gimbal torque motor which aligns the spin axis of the platform DG [directional gyro] to that of the transfer gyro heading, derived by placing the transfer gyro on the prealigned mount, to the fore and aft line of the A/C [aircraft]. 1, record 28, English, - transfer%20gyro%20heading

1, record 28, French, - cap%20du%20gyroscope%20de%20transfert

If you think about it, what's the most dangerous cell in your body? The most dangerous cell in your body is a cell that is replicating... So we believe now that every time you pick up the machinery to replicate a cell you also pick up this abort programme to potentially destroy it. So now the cell, in order to replicate and survive needs two completely different signals. One signal makes it replicate and dies, and the other signal tells it not to die. And the cell is, if you like, pinned on this double signal, and either one of them fades and the cell just destructs itself. There's an auto-destruct mechanism built into cells-and you just start again. It's far better to have a cell that destroys itself that one lying around as a rogue cell that could potentially become a tumor 1, record 29, English, - rogue%20cell
