A hydroelectric power plant that uses water flow as it comes in the river, with little or no storage to allow for modifications in demand of water flow. 8, record 2, English, - run%2Dof%2Dthe%2Driver%20hydroelectric%20plant
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Run-of-river power stations use the natural flow of river water to drive turbines. Although the head of water between the upstream and downstream sides is modest compared to storage power stations, the volume of water available is usually greater. Run-of-river power stations operate continuously. They meet basic electricity needs by supplying the steady underlying demand. The amount of electricity produced depends on the river's flow; they are generally more productive in summer than in winter. 9, record 2, English, - run%2Dof%2Dthe%2Driver%20hydroelectric%20plant

Between 1998 and 1999, a unique and innovative hydroelectric project was implemented through a partnership with a First Nations community.

9, record 2, French, - centrale%20au%20fil%20de%20l%27eau

Integrated system whereby the whole purification is put on a continuous flow basis. In this case extraction and recovery procedures cannot be considered in isolation from the overall process and certain limitations may arise from subsequent stages in the purification which do not arise directly from the initial isolation. 2, record 4, French, - proc%C3%A9d%C3%A9%20continu
