The aim of the Gravity Field and Steady-State Ocean Circulation Mission(GOCE) Mission is to provide global and regional models of the Earth's gravity field and of the geoid, its reference equipotential surface, with high spatial resolution and accuracy.... In oceanography... it would contribute to the correction of a major deficiency which is the lack of an accurate and precise reference surface for the interpretation of the mean sea level as mapped by satellite altimetry. 2, record 1, English, - steady%2Dstate%20ocean%20circulation

Fermentation vessel or bioreactor in which steady-state growth is maintained by providing the cells with a constant input of nutrients. The rate of growth can be regulated by the level of a specific nutrient and the dilution rate(rate of removal of organisms from the vessel) matched to the cell growth rate. 1, record 3, English, - chemostat
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Both mathematical models of the action of a chemostat and experimental studies show that a single-stage chemostat of practical size cannot yield a high concentration of a product and low concentrations of unconsumed raw materials. The inefficiency is particularly great in the synthesis of products such as penicillin, which is a secondary metabolite: it is made by living cells but its synthesis does not arise in the course of the metabolism that keeps the cells alive and growing. It is characteristic of the industrial production of a secondary metabolite that the proliferation of the organism precedes the accumulation of the metabolite by a significant margin. 2, record 3, English, - chemostat

Transderm-V(scopolamine) transdermal therapeutic system is a circular flat unit designed for continuous release of scopolamine following application to an area of intact skin behind the ear... An initial priming dose of scopolamine, released from the adhesive layer of the system, saturates the skin binding sites for the drug and brings the plasma concentration to the required steady-state level. Subsequently, there is continuous controlled release of scopolamine, from the drug reservoir through the rate controlling membrane. 1, record 4, English, - transdermal
