The total column precipitable water vapor is obtained by integrating the retrieved moisture profile. Using the radiance measurements in the longwave split windows, the shortwave window, and the 6. 5, 7. 0, and 7. 4 um water vapor bands, the derived product imagery is formed from pixel-by-pixel retrievals of atmospheric temperature and moisture profiles wherever the atmosphere is at least quasi-clear. 1, record 1, English, - atmospheric%20temperature%20and%20moisture%20profile

Fracture line profile [is] a graphical representation of the components of a slab avalanche prepared by excavating a snowpit at the crown face and measuring a variety of snow parameters from the surface down at and including the bed surface(and sometimes extending to the ground). Typical parameters measured include time, date, location, weather, slope angle, aspect, slab dimensions, and include the snowpack stratigraphy parameters plotted at the appropriate depth from the surface in cm : density, hardness, temperature, moisture, fracture depth. 3, record 2, English, - fracture%20line%20profile

Physical basis of remote sounding. A sounding is a vertical profile of atmospheric temperature, moisture or some other parameter. Soundings, including measurements of total water vapour content, total ozone, cloud height, cloud amount, surface temperature, etc., can be obtained from remote measurements of spectral radiance through carefully selected channels, often in the infrared(IR) or microwave regions of the electromagnetic spectrum. 6, record 3, English, - meteorological%20remote%20sounding
