... the solar reflectance index(SRI) takes into account solar reflectance and thermal emittance to predict the thermal behavior of a surface subjected to solar radiation through a physically rigorous mathematical procedure that considers assigned air and sky temperatures, peak solar irradiance, and wind velocity. 2, record 1, English, - solar%20reflectance%20index

The thermal degradation behavior of silicone oil\slash aromatic polyamide insulation system was studied. It was found that the flash and fire points decreased due to the formation of low molecular weight by-products of such cyclic siloxane oligomers as D\sub3, D\sub4 and D\sub5. 2, record 2, English, - cyclic%20siloxane
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
After distillation, the dimethyldechlorosilanes are hydrolyzed to form silanols which rapidly condense to cyclic siloxanes and low molecular weight linear siloxanes. The latter are reacted with caustic to produce cyclic siloxanes, specifically dimethyl tetramer or D4 which is the primary input for all dimethyl silicone rubber polymer and which is a clear, low viscosity liquid. Ring opening polymerization of the cyclic D4 is then accomplished via strong base resulting in linear polymer whose molecular weight (viscosity) is controlled by the addition of monofunctional siloxanes which function as chain stoppers. 3, record 2, English, - cyclic%20siloxane

Dorner describes a simulation in which test subjects were asked to control the temperature in a room using an uncalibrated thermostat and a thermometer. The simulation included physical factors such as thermal lag. Again, the test subjects had difficulty in dealing with the situation, in some cases developing what psychologists call "superstitious behavior". 1, record 3, English, - superstitious%20behavior
