Fluorescence correlation spectroscopy(FCS) is one of the many different modes of high-resolution spatial and temporal analysis of extremely low concentrated biomolecules. In contrast to other fluorescence techniques, the parameter of primary interest is not the emission intensity itself, but rather spontaneous intensity fluctuations caused by the minute deviations of the small system from thermal equilibrium.... Fluorescence correlation spectroscopy has been developed in the early seventies as a special case of relaxation analysis. 2, record 2, English, - fluorescence%20correlation%20spectroscopy

In contrast to the automatic recording instruments monitoring volume increases at constant pressure, van de Craats maintained the volume constant and recorded automatically the pressure changes by means of an electromagnetic manometer devised by Kinkel.... In addition to van de Craats’ work with pressure-sensing devices, Novák and Janák constructed a detector which represents the pneumatic analog of a Wheatstone bridge, employing the dynamic effects of pneumatic obstructions such as capillaries and constrictions for determining component fractions emerging from the gas chromatographic column. Requiring no electrical power yet having an accuracy comparable to high precision thermal conductivity cells, it expresses the pressure differential, either differentially or integrally, caused by the eluted component as a diagonal from zero. Furthermore, the substance analyzed is never in contact with the detector. 1, record 3, English, - pressure%20detector

Remote heat sensing techniques evolved from space technology developments related to weather satellites can be used to detect comparative heat energy losses from roofs, walls, windows, and so on. A method called thermography is defined as the conversion of a temperature pattern detected on a surface by contrast into an image called a thermogram... Thermovision is defined as the technique of utilizing the infrared radiation from a surface which varies with the surface temperatures, to produce a thermal picture or thermogram. A camera can scan the area in question and focus the radiation on a sensitive detector which in turn converts it to an electronic signal. 2, record 9, English, - thermovision

Up until now the envelope equations have been written for a laterally unbounded system. The presence of side boundaries that confine the system can modify the instability mechanism. For example, in convection, viscous friction at a lateral wall increases the damping, which inhibits the instability. By contrast, a thermal perturbation in the wall or simply a difference of thermal conductivity between the fluid and the wall, can build up a horizontal temperature gradient that may induce a fluid motion, thus encouraging the instability. In both cases, we expect lateral boundary effects to impose modulations and act as boundary conditions on the envelope. 1, record 11, English, - lateral%20boundary%20effect

1, record 11, French, - effet%20de%20paroi%20lat%C3%A9rale
