The Taxpayer Bill of Rights is a set of fifteen rights confirming that the Canada Revenue Agency(CRA) will serve taxpayers with a high degree of accuracy, professionalism, courteousness and fairness. The Taxpayer Bill of Rights will make it easier for you to understand what you can expect in your dealings with us; that you will be treated fairly under clear and established rules, and that you can look forward to high standards of service in all your interactions with us. The Taxpayer Bill of Rights also includes the CRA Commitment to Small Business, a five-part statement through which the CRA undertakes to support the competitiveness of the Canadian business community by ensuring that interactions with the CRA are as effective and efficient as possible. These commitments complement the Government of Canada's pledge to create a competitive and dynamic business environment in which Canadian businesses will thrive. Taxpayer rights have been evolving since 1985 when the National Revenue Minister introduced a publication titled "Declaration of Taxpayer Rights. "Several factors such as new tax laws and the changing environment in which businesses and taxpayers operate were some of the catalysts behind these new expanded and enhanced taxpayer rights. 1, record 11, English, - Taxpayer%20Bill%20of%20Rights

1, record 11, French, - Charte%20des%20droits%20du%20contribuable

The Medical Council of Canada was the dream of Sir Thomas Roddick, who pursued his vision of a national medical licensing standard within Canada, through legislation, for over 18 years. His persistence in passing a bill through Parliament known as the Canada Medical Act, followed by amendments that gave the provinces the power to grant licenses, resulted in the formation of the Medical Council of Canada in 1912. Since then, the Medical Council has been responsible for promoting a uniform standard of qualifiation to practice medicine for all physicians across Canada. The qualifitcation, known as the Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada(LMCC), remains acceptable to provincial medical regulatory authorities. This ensures portability across the nation, while continuing to guarantee that each province and territory maintains the right to grant the license to practice medicine. 1, record 15, English, - The%20Medical%20Council%20of%20Canada

1, record 15, French, - Le%20Conseil%20m%C3%A9dical%20du%20Canada

A proponent may make a written submission to the Minister of the Environment requesting that a project be declared not subject to the provisions of the EAA [Environmental Assessment Act]. The Minister, with the concurrence of Cabinet, may, by means of a declaration order, approve the request. Stringent conditions are usually applied to orders to ensure environmental protection. In most cases, the public is given an opportunity to comment on such requests for at least a 30 day period through a notice being placed on the Environmental Bill of Rights(EBR) Registry. 1, record 26, English, - declaration%20request

The device works on the principle that gas is lighter than oil and rises. As well fluids enter the anchor, the gas breaks out of the fluid and exits the anchor through perforations near the top. The remaining fluids enter the pump through a mosquito bill(a tube within the anchor), which has an opening near the bottom of the anchor. In this way, all or most of the gas is given the opportunity to escape before the fluids enter the pump. 2, record 27, English, - gas%20anchor
