Triamcinolone acetonide was injected into the vitreous cavity, the remaining posterior vitreous cortex was stained and removed. Using 23G or 25G intraocular forceps, the edge of ERM [epiretinal membrane] was clamped, and centripetal peeling was performed along the retina surface to minimize the risk of surgically induced MH [macular hole].

A small oval shining black flea beetle (Epitrix cucumeris) that injures the leaves of various plants.

The potato flea beetle is primarily a pest of potato but it also attacks cucumber, eggplant, pepper, tomato and such other plants as jimsonweed, tobacco, large white petunia, groundcherry and bittersweet... Feeding injury, whether by adults on potato leaves in spring or late summer, or by larvae on tubers and roots and transmission of plant pathogens, are all potential ways in which this flea beetle may reduce potato yields both in terms of quality and quantity. Adult feeding on leaves results in rounded feeding scars, 0. 1 to 5 mm in diameter, which usually penetrate through the leaf to form a hole.

The knee-bolter was a steel topped table on a track, with a wide slot in the front to admit the knee-bolter saw. The top of the table was level with the deck so the operator stood in a hole... The table had an arm that stuck out to fit between the operator's legs, hence the name "knee bolter. If there was a large knot in the block, he would saw directly through it, so the knot would be the part of the block that would necessarily be wasted in the final cutting of the shingles.

A log is the recording of one physical property of the formation crossed through by a borehole or of the geometric characteristics of the hole or casing or the flow behavior of a well as a function of depth. Wireline logging is performed with a sonde or probe lowered into the borehole or well, usually after the drillstring has been withdrawn.

Measurements include electrical properties ... sonic properties, active and passive nuclear measurements, dimensional measurements of the wellbore, formation fluid sampling, formation pressure measurement, wireline-conveyed sidewall coring tools, and others. In wireline measurements, the logging tool (or sonde) is lowered into the open wellbore on a multiple conductor, contra-helically armored wireline. Once lowered to the bottom of the interval of interest, the measurements are taken on the way out of the wellbore. This is done in an attempt to maintain tension on the cable (which stretches) as constant as possible for depth correlation purposes ... Most wireline measurements are recorded continuously even though the sonde is moving.
