Freeganism is an anti-consumerist movement that takes issue with society's focus on buying new and throwing away old but still useful items. In the simplest terms, freeganism is a reaction against the waste of resources, and its adherents see consumerism as out of control.

freeganism: Not to be confused with "dumpster diving," which is the practice of searching through dumpsters for discarded but still usable or valuable objects. Freegans are distinguished by their association with an anti-consumerist and anti-capitalist ideology and their engagement in a wider range of alternative living strategies, such as voluntary unemployment, squatting in abandoned buildings, and guerrilla gardening in unoccupied city parks.

Gaiting straps are put on a horse to keep his rear end in line. I’ve put them on trotters on both sides. Sometimes they’ll throw their feet out pretty wide into a wheel or the sulky, particularly on a half-mile track where they’re going at a terrific clip around the turns. A lot of good horses that I’ve raced had to wear gaiting straps over a half-mile track. A gaiting strap catches them up along the stifle and keeps them from throwing their foot out.

Double digging. a) Take out a trench and wheel soil to the other end of the plot. b) Get down into this trench and break up the soil really well with a fork. Then add any FYM [farm yard mamure] or compost on top of this broken up soil. c) Now dig out the second trench, throwing the soil well forward onto the manure in the first.
