The smallest possible impulsion generated by a thruster. 2, record 2, English, - impulse%20bit
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Performance measurements for a given thruster will rely on one of two different values : the total delivered impulse or the average thrust. Both are done via the measurement of the thrust stand dynamics. The impulse bit measurement involves measuring the velocity before and after a thruster pulse. An average thrust measurement involves either a measurement or a steady state deflection of the thruster arm. 3, record 2, English, - impulse%20bit

Exhaust thrust deflection control. Another method of stabilisation comprises a gyroscope unit which detects deflections and converts them into electrical signals, which are injected into a computer carried on board the spacecraft. 5, record 3, French, - centrale%20gyroscopique
