... a device for setting a fishing net under the ice between two ice holes ... 2, record 1, English, - prairie%20ice%20jigger
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
A jigger consists of a board and two levers so arranged that a backward pull on a line attached to one lever is translated into a forward thrust which propels the board along beneath the ice. 4, record 1, English, - prairie%20ice%20jigger
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Another method uses a prairie ice jigger, a sledlike wooden device that slides along the underside of the ice. The jigger is launched under the ice, towing a rope. When the rope is pulled, a lever is raised; when the rope is released, the lever springs back in such a way that it pushes against the ice and jerks the jigger forward. 5, record 1, English, - prairie%20ice%20jigger

1, record 1, French, - navette

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
The reverse thrust system provides means of decelerating aircraft during the landing roll, thus reducing landing roll length. The thrust reverser units are attached at the turbine outlet case of each engine.... The reversers are controlled by reverse thrust levers and operated by 13th stage engine bleed air. When not in use, the reversers are held in the locked position by 13th stage air and a mechanical lock. Each engine throttle has an additional handle which is used to actuate the thrust reversers. The reverse thrust lever pivots about a point near to the top of the throttle. If reverse trust is required, the throttle must be retarded to closed and then the reverse thrust lever must be pulled up. Further aft movement of the lever will increase reverse thrust. 3, record 2, English, - reverse%20thrust%20lever

3, record 2, French, - manette%20d%27inversion%20de%20pouss%C3%A9e

To select reverse thrust after landing, the flight crew lifts the reverse-thrust levers. An electrically operated "balk" blocks each lever at the reverse-idle position until the thrust reversers deploy. Then each balk is removed to allow selection of full-reverse thrust.
