Five F-1 engines, clustered at the bottom of the stage provide 33, 800 kN [kilonewtons] [7, 610, 000 pounds] of thrust. The propellants used are RP-1(Rocket Propellant one or highly refined kerosene) as the fuel and LOX [liquid oxygen] as the oxidizer. The lower of two tanks is filled with 810, 000 litres of RP-1 hours or days prior to launch with a final topping up occurring at T-minus [one] hour. 1, record 1, English, - topping%20up

Ariane-5(Expendable Rocket) is part of the European Union's Space Program. At present, the Ariane 5 functions as a Commercial Satellite Launcher and will be used to launch the ATV Cargo/Supply Spacecraft to the International Space station(ISS) in the future. Ariane-5 is the successor to Ariane 4.... The Main Cryogenic Stage is the core of the Ariane 5 launcher. It is 30 meters high and utilizes the Vulcain Rocket Engine. The propellants are liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen. Two Solid Rocket Boosters are around 30 metres high. The two solid boosters deliver more than 90 percent of the total launcher's thrust at the start of flight. Upper Stage is used to propel the payload to its final orbit. The upper stage uses storable propellants. Ariane-5 is developing new upper stages, along with modifications to the main cryogenic stage and solid boosters, that will increase performance and meet demands of space commercial launch market. 2, record 2, English, - Ariane%205

The reverse thrust system provides means of decelerating aircraft during the landing roll, thus reducing landing roll length. The thrust reverser units are attached at the turbine outlet case of each engine.... The reversers are controlled by reverse thrust levers and operated by 13th stage engine bleed air. When not in use, the reversers are held in the locked position by 13th stage air and a mechanical lock. Each engine throttle has an additional handle which is used to actuate the thrust reversers. The reverse thrust lever pivots about a point near to the top of the throttle. If reverse trust is required, the throttle must be retarded to closed and then the reverse thrust lever must be pulled up. Further aft movement of the lever will increase reverse thrust. 3, record 3, English, - reverse%20thrust%20lever

Ariane 5 Launcher. Propulsion for the main cryogenic stage is provided by a single Vulcain engine fed by cryogenic fuels-liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen-which are stored in two tanks separated by a common bulkhead. Engine thrust is transmitted through a thrustframe to the upper composite by means of the aft skirt, the tank walls and the stage's forward skirt. This frame, containing most equipment required for stage operation, constitutes the propulsion bay.
