If we analyze this from the regulatory point of view of the Federal Penal Code, we would be facing the assumption of a person who, after having thought about it, kills another person [who] has no chance to engage in self-defense, using for that end, harmful substances or torture. This would be created as murder, characterized by premeditation, and unfair advantage(Articles 315 and 316 of the Federal Penal Code). 1, record 21, French, - torture%20psychologique

The Terrorist and Disruptive Activities(Prevention) Act, commonly known as TADA, was an Indian law active between 1985 and 1995(modified in 1987) for the prevention of terrorist activities in Punjab. It was renewed in 1989, 1991 and 1993 before being allowed to lapse in 1995 due to increasing unpopularity due to widespread allegations of abuse. The drawback was that it didn’t provide a definition of the term "terrorist". The Act does not define the term "terrorist". It presumed that the accused was guilty. It had a conviction rate of less than 1% despite the fact that, under criminal law, a confession before a police officer, even though being given under torture, was admissible as evidence in court. A special court known as TADA court was set up to hear the cases and deliver judgements pertaining to 1993 Bombay bombings. 1, record 27, English, - Terrorist%20and%20Disruptive%20Activities%20%28Prevention%29%20Act

Bill C-11 also introduces a Pre-removal Risk Assessment(PRRA) during which new facts or evidence that clearly demonstrate that a person is now at risk of persecution, torture or cruel and unusual treatment, or that there is a risk to his or her life, may come to light. PRRAs will be conducted as close to removals as possible, taking into account removal priorities. This will lead to greater efficiency at the back end of the refugee process and, it is anticipated, a more effective removals program. 2, record 31, English, - at%20the%20back%20end

2, record 31, French, - %C3%A0%20la%20fin

The Swedish Aliens act sets out the categories of people who are entitled to proctection in Sweden. Clarity, credibility and humanity are the watchwords of the legislation. A person who feels a well-founded fear of persecution on grounds of race, nationality, membership of a particular social group, or religious or political conviction is given asylum under the Geneva Convention. Others in need of protection are those who risk capital punishment, torture or other inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, those who are fleeing from internal or external armed conflict or environmental disaster, and those who are subject to persecution because of their gender or homosexuality. In mass migration situations the Government can authorise temporary two-year residence permits. 2, record 39, English, - Swedish%20Aliens%20Act
