The Eco-Research Program is a six-year program for training and research in environmental studies in Canadian universities, and is part of Canada's Green Plan. This program will focus on environmental issues, particularly on the interactions between humans and the environment. It will also encourage interdisciplinary research. The program is administered by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council(SSHRC), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council(NSERC), and the Medical Research Council(MRC), through a tri-council secretariat located at SSHRC.
