There are six controlled blasting techniques that have been developed and designed to improve the stability of the final excavation. Each one of these has their unique features and design considerations for successful implementation into any blasting plan. The six controlled blasting techniques that will be discussed are(1) line drilling,(2) trim blasting,(3) buffer blasting,(4) smooth wall blasting,(5) air decking, and(6) presplitting. 4, record 1, English, - controlled%20blasting%20technique

1, record 1, French, - technique%20de%20dynamitage%20contr%C3%B4l%C3%A9

Drilling and Blasting for Slope Stabilization and Geotechnical Investigations. Trim blasting is used for controlled blasts in which explosive charges are placed in predetermined pattern of holes drilled into the rock face and then detonated. Potentially unstable masses of rock can sometimes be stabilized using rock bolts and long steel rods drilled into the rock to bind it together. Drilling is a common method of investigation to obtain geotechnical reports required for engineering design. 1, record 2, English, - trim%20blasting

1, record 2, French, - dynamitage%20de%20d%C3%A9coupage
