Record 1, Textual support, English
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Control and servo tabs are employed on large aircraft to assist the pilot in moving the primary control surface. When the pilot applies manual force to a surface control in the cockpit, the control or servo tab moves in a direction opposite the desired motion of the control surface. Aerodynamic forces against the tab produce movement of the control surface in the proper direction. 10, record 1, English, - servo%2Dtab
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Servo tabs are very similar in operation and appearance to the trim tabs... Servo tabs, sometimes referred to as flight tabs, are used primarily on the large main control surfaces. They aid in moving the control surface and holding it in the desired position. Only the servo tab moves in response to the movement of the cockpit control. 11, record 1, English, - servo%2Dtab

Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Tapeless splicing is used to form face-veneer panels from several pieces. The backs and faces are glued to the cross bands and the core. The edges of the core are planed on the jointer. The core stock is edge glued and cut to panel size by a clipper machine.... All the plies are then ready to be glued into a sheet. Glue is applied to the sheets of veneer as they go through large rollers.... After the glue is applied to the cross-banded layers, core, face, and back panels, the press-gluing operation begins. The use of the giant hot press... is one of the crucial steps in the manufacture of plywood. Extreme pressure and controlled heat are used to cure(set) the adhesive.... After heating and pressing, skinner and trim saws cut the panel edges and stack the panels in one automatic operation.... 2, record 3, English, - tapeless%20splicer

Hot-wire or knife sealing is adaptable to a very high speed operation and is used for both sealing and cutting apart polyethylene bags on bag-making equipment.... Unsupported films, when trim sealed by this method, tend to form a strong bead in their seal areas due to surface tension and orientation. This method is also used to a limited degree with laminated constructions. Hot-wire cutoff is also used in film-dispensing equipment and with L sealers. 1, record 4, English, - wire%20sealing
