Deux autres points de même intensité de signal sont alors déterminés sur cette nouvelle trajectoire. (Cette fois-ci le point pour lequel l'intensité relevée est maximale, s'il est déterminé de manière précise, est également l'emplacement du radiophare.) Après avoir passé le deuxième point (de même intensité de signal), le pilote fait demi-tour et descend à l'altitude appropriée.
