The main storage bins are usually hoppered and an automatic conveying system moves the grain to intermediate storage bins from which different grades are blended into the milling grist. The main storage bins are arranged to feed back into the intake elevator to provide for turning over the grain from one bin to another. This turning over is sometimes necessary to keep the grain in sound condition. Provision is also made for drying grain. A separate conveying system is used to move grain through the automatic dryer and back to the dried-grain bins and the main storage block. 1, record 13, English, - turning%20over

[Transceiver Search. ] The second method is the grid method. When you find a signal, traverse back and forth across the slope. Where you think the signal is strongest(or, better yet, midway between fade points), you simply make a perpendicular turn(90 degrees to the old direction) and follow this new line. If the signal fades, it's the wrong way, so turn around(180 degrees) and march in the other direction until you hear the strongest signal(remember to keep turning down the volume). Turn 90 degrees again and repeat the process over and over until you zero in on the buried beacon. 4, record 15, English, - grid%20search%20method

The peak of igniferous fuze design in Britain was achieved in 1905 with the introduction of the Fuze, T&P, No. 80... It was introduced for the 13 and 18-pounder guns; it employed two time rings, effectively one larger ring, to increase the accuracy of timing... It offered time settings from zero to 22 seconds, in tenths of a second. Setting was achieved by turning one time ring with respect to the second, the principle used by all subsequent igniferous time fuzes. Many modifications to, and variants of, this fuze appeared over the years but the principles remained until the arrival of the mechanical time fuze. 1, record 16, English, - igniferous%20fuze

[Used to] determine a company's odds of turning out new products that might attract a market... [, the] Patent-to-Stock-Price Ratio, which takes the number of patents and divides it by the price of a company's stock, is one of the most telling gauges of any company's chances of success. Take two companies in the plastics industry [both reporting approximately the same earnings and stock prices].... Say Company A has filed only three patents in the past year, while its competitor, Company B, has submitted thirty.... The Patent-to-Stock-Price Ratio reveals that investors in Company A's $50 shares are paying over $16 for every patent filed. With Company B, the investor is paying just over $1. 60 per patent. 1, record 32, English, - patent%2Dto%2Dstock%2Dprice%20ratio

The late 1980s were the height of Japan's "bubble economy, "when soaring land prices and cheap credit sent the Nikkei into the stratosphere, turning thousands of people into paper millionaires. The Nikkei topped out at 38, 915. 87 on Dec. 29, 1989. Since then tighter money policy and a mild recession have punctured the bubble. Most pitch-changing mechanisms are operated by oil pressure(hydraulically) and use some type of piston-and-cylinder arrangement. The piston may move in the cylinder, or the cylinder may move over a stationary piston. The linear motion of the piston is converted by several different types of mechanical linkage into the rotary motion necessary to change the blade angle. The mechanical connection may be through gears, the pitch-changing mechanism turning a drive gear or power gear that meshes with a gear attached to the butt of each blade. 3, record 34, English, - pitch%2Dchange%20mechanism
