Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
To conserve water without springing leaks, add a couple of narrow, one-quart plastic bottles to displace some of the water that would normally go down with every flush. ... Another option is to install a water dam, which partitions the tank into three sections and allows only the water from the middle portion to activate the flush. This saves two to four gallons per flush. Water dams conserve more water than bottles, but they’ve been known to leak. 3, record 2, English, - toilet%20dam

... the Waste Collection System(WCS) operates differently from the facilities on Earth. The WCS comprises a commode, a urinal, fan separators, and an odor and bacterial filter. To keep bodies from floating away due to weightlessness, astronauts fasten a seat belt-like strap or lower a bar over their legs and wedge their feet into footholds. Space toilets flush with air instead of water, and the fan helps separate liquids from solids. Liquids are purified and recycled for re-use, just as they are on Earth. Plastic bags inside the commode collect wastes, and are sealed and stored. The WCS also has storage areas for towels, wash cloths, urinal funnels, wet and dry wipes, tissues, disposable gloves, and trash bags. 2, record 3, English, - waste%20collection%20system

3, record 4, French, - toilettes
Record number: 4, Textual support number: 2 CONT
4, record 4, French, - toilettes

The concept of "sustainable development" was first used in the mid-1970s, to suggest a broad policy goal of integrating environmental considerations into economic decisions. In 1980, the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources(IUCN), in conjunction with UNEP [United Nations Environment Programme], the World Wildlife fund(WWF), and other organisations, published the World Conservation Strategy(WCS). In the WCS, the current and more complex implication of sustainable development emerged to imply, for example, operational linkages between resource use and sustainable yields, in light of the needs of future generations. 2, record 7, English, - World%20Conservation%20Strategy

2, record 7, French, - Strat%C3%A9gie%20mondiale%20de%20la%20conservation
