A type of alert issued by Environment Canada's Meteorological Service(MSC), where conditions are favourable for the development of weather or an environmental hazard that poses a significant threat to public safety and property, but the occurrence, location, and/or timing of the expected hazardous condition(s) is still too uncertain to issue a warning.

It is intended to heighten public awareness of the potential impact of the event, and serves as a lead-up to a warning.

Crossbow’s AHRS500GA is a strap-down subsystem that delivers heading measurements with dynamic accuracy of +/- 2.0 and static accuracy of +/- 1.5. Attitude accuracy is less than +/- 0.5 degrees (static) and +/- 2.0 degrees (dynamic). Range is +/- 180 degrees. The system features the industry’s highest performing sensors, including advanced MEMs accelerometers and rate gyros that provide much higher reliability than traditional spinning mass gyros.
