In consulted sources, most often than not, Saint Elmo's fire and corona discharge are considered as synonyms. However, some sources, define Saint Elmo's fire as a form of corona discharge. Saint Elmo's fire occurred during bad weather(thunderstorm, etc.). Corona discharge occurred when very strong electrical field develops. "When this luminous effect occurs on or near power lines, it is known as corona discharge, a phenomenon similar to Saint Elmo's Fire. Sometimes this ionized air detaches itself from the lines and moves about independently of them. Preharvest sprouting(PHS) is a phenomenon whereby seeds germinate while still attached to the mother plant. The occurrence of PHS in hexaploid wheat(Triticum aestivum L.) can drastically lower grain quality resulting in reduced prices for farmers. Wheat is susceptible to PHS anytime cool wet weather persists near harvest maturity, making it a problem in nearly all wheat growing regions worldwide. The main factor contributing to PHS susceptibility is the low level of seed dormancy encountered in modern cultivated varieties. 4, record 8, English, - preharvest%20sprouting

At low temperatures(especially during clear weather) a temperature gradient appears in the snow, bringing about phenomena which render the snow or individual layers more fragile and loosen the bonds between crystals. The snow in these layers is called crusted snow, white frost or liquid snow. It can be recognised by its dryness, and on a slope it flows and looks like crystals of sugar. Layers of compressed snow lying on the fragile layer of white frost may tear off and trigger an avalanche. Dangerous layers of crusted snow are a very frequent phenomenon in cold winters with little snow. 4, record 9, English, - crusted%20snow
