Diabulimia is an eating disorder in which someone with Type 1 diabetes withholds insulin to lose weight.... People with diabulimia may have other disordered eating behaviors, like purging. Biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch is a modification of the biliopancreatic diversion procedure... Biliopancreatic diversion is primarily a malabsorptive procedure. The standard procedure involves the removal of part of the stomach(a limited horizontal gastrectomy) to limit oral intake and induce weight loss.... The combination of biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch is an additional adaptation of the standard procedure. It has a sleeve gastrectomy rather than a horizontal gastrectomy. 5, record 4, English, - biliopancreatic%20diversion%20with%20duodenal%20switch

In a biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch, a portion of the stomach is removed but the pylorus remains intact. The pylorus, which controls food drainage from the stomach, is connected to a lower segment of the intestine. The duodenum is connected to the lower part of the small intestine. The food you eat then bypasses much of the small intestine. This results in fewer calories absorbed and weight loss. 6, record 4, English, - biliopancreatic%20diversion%20with%20duodenal%20switch

Biliopancreatic diversion is primarily a malabsorptive procedure. The standard procedure involves the removal of part of the stomach(a limited horizontal gastrectomy) to limit oral intake and induce weight loss. The gastric pouch that is created is larger than that of gastric bypass or the restrictive procedures, therefore allowing larger meals, and patients remain on a less restricted diet than would the case following gastric bypass. Part of the small intestine is also bypassed by the construction of a long limb Roux-en-Y anastomosis with a short common "alimentary" channel of 50 cm length. 5, record 5, English, - biliopancreatic%20diversion

An instrument which responds to density changes in the gas stream, directly related to the molecular weights. Several forms of gas density balance have been developed since this type of detector was first introduced by Martin and James. Improvements in instrumentation have led to a revival of interest in it as a detector system suitable for molecular-weight studies. The density changes are measured by means of a form of U-tube, one limb of which contains pure carrier gas and the other column effluent gas. An anemometer situated between the two limbs detects and measures any density difference. Using nitrogen or argon carrier gas the limit of detection is 0. 4 μg, response is linear with concentration, and it can be used for molecular weight determinations for values below 200 and for percentage composition studies. 5, record 14, English, - gas%20density%20balance

2, record 14, French, - balance%20%C3%A0%20densit%C3%A9%20gazeuse

dry standard cubic meters(dscm) : Concentration of contaminants in gases emitted from sources(such as cement kilns) are generally expressed as a weight of that material per a volume of gas. Emissions from sources often contain water vapor from evaporation of water in the processed material or as water from combustion of hydrocarbons. This amount varies from source to source and at variable temperatures from source to source. To make an emission rate meaningful for comparison to another source or to a permit limit, the emission rate must be stated as a weight per(dry) gas at standard conditions. The specific standard conditions are set by the applicable authority, often a national laboratory group. 3, record 15, English, - dry%20standard%20cubic%20meter
