CONT

Body roundness index (BRI) is [an] anthropometric index developed to predict both body fat and the percentage of visceral adipose tissue.

CONT

Body roundness index(BRI) might be a more accurate measurement than body mass index(BMI) for predicting weight-related health risks... BMI has long been the standard to classify a person's body weight as too low, normal, overweight, or obese. While BMI often reflects a person's body fat amount, it doesn’t account for fat distribution or the amount of muscle mass.... BRI addresses these shortcomings by focusing on a person's height, waist size, and hip size. By taking weight out of the equation, BRI provides a better indicator of how much belly fat(visceral fat) surrounds the organs inside the abdomen. High amounts of belly fat are linked to high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, and some cancers.

cokes: The standard grades of hot-dipped tinplates, that carry about 0.56 kg of tin per basis box (i.e. lighter coating than the charcoal grades), that consist of mild-steel coated with tin, and that are used for packaging, canning and general purposes.

CONT

Various grades of hot-dipped tin plate were produced, the terminology indicating in a general way the weight of tin coating or, more exactly, the amount of tin used to produce the given unit or base box of plate. Coke tin plate has always designated the plate produced with the lowest amount of tin and formerly was called Cokes or Common Cokes. The hard rime was determined with the aid of the so-called icing meter bars. They were represented by two wooden bars of 32 mm diameter and 1 m length, i. e. the surface area equals 0, 1 m² per 1 bar. Bars were placed horizontally and perpendicularly to each other. First of them was oriented in north-south direction, the second east-west. The amount of water was measured and result recalculated to kg. m-². Smoke Measurement ... It has been known for many years that the tar yield of any brand of cigarette does not necessarily correspond with the tar delivery of that cigarette to a human smoker. As the Fourth Report of the ISCSH observed: "These parameters have been criticised as not reflecting average human behaviour and leading to published yields universally under-estimating yields actually obtained by the average smoker. Critics of the machine smoking procedure have frequently failed to understand that values presented in tables published by DHSS have never been intended to be actual yields obtained by any one smoker. Rather, they enable brands to be ranked.

OBS

This standard methodology involves the collection and measurement(by weight in milligrams) of certain particulate matter produced by a smoking machine which "smokes" cigarettes, taking puffs of a specified volume and for durations of defined intervals. Since 1992, Gallaher has been required by law to print onto each packet of cigarettes the tar and nicotine yields of the cigarettes contained therein using the ISO methodology.

Coating weights : Pure tin coating on a hot-dip tin plate is mechanically distributed over sheet surface by tinning rolls. Due to nature of this tinning operation and elevated temperature of metal it is not possible to control, within close limits, tin coating weight. For these and other reasons, coating is measured and described by "tin pot yield" method. Total weight(in pounds) of tin consumed in manufacture of one base box, is pot yield. Terms, charcoal plate and coke plate, which in last century described quality of iron used as a base metal, have now come to be applied to tin plate of certain coating thickness. The instrument consists of a smooth-walled cylinder in which is a piston. The piston is mechanically raised at a predetermined frequency and is allowed to fall freely back to its minimum position. Within the cylinder is an accurately machined orifice through which the measured material enters the cylinder when the piston is raised and is displaced by the weight of the piston on its free fall. Thus the measurement of the time required by the piston to displace the material through the orifice is directly proportional to the viscosity of the material.

CONT

The schematic view of the falling-piston type of viscosity measuring element shows the piston arrangement which is immersed in the liquid whose viscosity is to be measured. The time required for the piston to drop is a measure of the viscosity, and this measurement is electrically transmitted to an indicator, recorder, or controller where it is converted to desired viscosity units.

DEF
