To obtain uniform potato stands and achieve quality[, ] it is essential to cut the seed within a specific size range. The ideal seed piece is blocky because this shape provides the lowest surface area per weight ratio and is easiest for common planter mechanisms to handle.... To improve plant stands, it is important to eliminate seed pieces weighing less than 28 [grams]. This operation is usually performed by a set of adjustable rollers. The proportion of undersize seed should be as low as possible. 2, record 1, English, - stand

2, record 1, French, - peuplement

What is a healthy weight? If you asked a fitness trainer he or she might say, "The weight at which you look and feel your best, or the weight at which you perform your best. "If you ask your doctor the reply might be, "the weight range for a given height that corresponds to the lowest risk of disease or early mortality. 6, record 3, French, - poids%20normal

The back foot should be right at the tail of the board with the front foot about half way along. The weight of the body is transferred entirely to the rear foot and as the board rises the body is turned through 90 degrees in the desired direction. 1, record 15, English, - kick%20turn

This class of wheat is grown in the Great Plains area of the U. S. which includes the states of Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, Montana, South Dakota and Wyoming. In 1981, it formed about 40% of total U. S. wheat production. The wheat is a strong type(gluten quality) and its flour produces good bread. Its average protein content is in the range of 12 to 13%; normally it has good test weight(75 to 77 kilograms per hectolitre) and is low in moisture content(11 to 12%). With proper conditioning it gives good milling results. The most prominent varieties of this group in 1981 were Newton, Larned, Eagle and Scout. Hard red winter wheat has no subclasses for grading purposes. It is assigned numerical grades but has somewhat higher(2 pounds for No. 1 and 1 pound for other grades) test weights. 1, record 20, English, - hard%20red%20winter%20wheat

Wholly aromatic polyester fiber-reinforced high performance thermoplastic and process for preparing same. Self-reinforced polymer composites of 60-5% by weight of an at least partially crystalline high performance thermoplastic polymer and 40-95% by weight of a melt processable wholly aromatic polyester which exhibit anisotropic properties in the melt phase. This wholly aromatic polyester is a liquid crystal polymer... The wholly aromatic polyester is in the form of... unidirectionally oriented continuous fibers, primarily in the range of about 1 to 10 micrometers in diameter, distributed in a matrix of polyether etherketone. The polymer composites of this invention have high tensile strength, high modulus, satisfactory elongation, good impact strength, good flame resistance, good high temperature properties, and good electrical properties which remain stable over a wide range of temperatures and frequencies. 1, record 22, English, - wholly%20aromatic%20polyester

Device enabling a larger surface area to be obtained without making large and unwieldy stacks of flat membrane. One only has to mould the membrane into a tube and then incorporate a number of such membrane tubes into a cartridge; liquid can then be recirculated through the cartridge and sufficient pressure for ultra-filtration obtained by restricting the flow downstream of the cartridge. In some systems the membrane may be moulded round a plastic rod which is grooved to produce a thin channel effect; it has been suggested that this is more efficient in reducing concentration polarization than a hollow membrane tube. The second type of precision airdrop is the Precision Guided Air Drop System(PGADS). Several different systems are in development. The idea behind PGADS is to use a ram-air canopy controlled by an electro-mechanical servo system. This flies a load into a specific location from a safe stand-off range vice just utilizing the safety of high altitude. Systems under development range in current weight capacity from 500 to 2000 pounds. The systems use various modes of operation. They can be controlled remotely from the ground or in the air, programmed to home in on a beacon or programmed to fly to a pre-determined gird reference via GPS navigation. 1, record 25, English, - precision%20guided%20air%20drop%20system

Sliding Scale Insuline Protocol. Correct dosing of insulin is based not only on the patient's blood glucose values, but also on the patient's weight. A pre-printed sliding scale for insulin is a tool that staff can use to quickly select the appropriate dose of insulin based on both criteria. Since the doses for each blood glucose and weight range are printed on the scale, determining the correct dose for a patient requires only one calculation : the units of insulin per kilogram(total units of insulin in 24 hours divided by the patient's weight in kilograms). Prescribers only need to order the use of the sliding scale, and subsequently all dosing will be determined by referring to that tool. 5, record 29, English, - sliding%20scale%20insulin

The medical literature supports the fact that sliding scale dosing of insulin is an ineffective means to control blood glucose concentrations. Despite this, many clinicians still use sliding scale insulin (SSI) regimens. A better tool for controlling hyperglycemia is clearly needed. 2, record 29, English, - sliding%20scale%20insulin

The rubber improves the flexibility of a final varnish, improves scratch resistance and increases the varnishes viscosity which yields a better feeling varnish when applying by brush(low molecular weight resins tend to feel very thin). Kraton G 1657 can be added in the range of 1-3% by weight of resin. One helpful hint, Kraton rubber does not dissolve well in low aromatic solvents, try pre-dissolving the Kraton rubber in a small amount of high aromatic solvent such as xylene. 3, record 33, English, - high%20aromatic%20solvent

The CargoLifter is an airship, which can carry up to 160t of freight like a crane. Goods up to the size of 12 x 5 x 5 m can be carried at a speed of 100 km/h. Maximum range is 10. 000 km.... The advantage of CargoLifter is, that transport can take place in rural areas with little or no infrastructure. Transport times are cut by a factor of 10 and the complexity of the project is reduced significantly.... The loading cycle will take about half a day to unload and 3/4 days to load. The CargoLifter can take 72 TEU in a box, but the weight volume ratio is very low(1 : 20). The weight alone would account for 136t or 85% of the payload. The remaining 44t can take 2800 cubic meters of space(weight to volume of 1 : 62).... CargoLifter will use marine diesel engines and propellers for thrust. Installed power is expected to be 9. 3 MW, for a top speed of 135 km/h. The average speed will be about 100 km/h, which requires about 5 MW and an hourly fuel consumption of 1 tonne(specific fuel burn approx. 200 g/kWh). 3, record 36, English, - CargoLifter

3, record 36, French, - Cargolifter

The combat tip of the Harrier wing can be removed and replaced by a ferry tip... The increased span wing spreads the weight of the aircraft over a larger area of sky in ferry flight... this gives a 9% range improvement for a given fuel weight. To obtain this range improvement in the combat configuration, additional fuel would need to be added which would amount to over fifty times the weight of the ferry tips themselves. 1, record 46, English, - ferry%20tip

At sea, air defense also uses large radars on ships, but more use is made of airborne radar and control systems. The weight and size of long-range radars restricts their installation to the larger ships; airborne radar over the ocean does not have severe land clutter to contend with, making it simpler than overland systems; the horizon limits are at a greater range; and the aircraft can patrol a large area. 2, record 47, English, - land%20clutter
