The Boeing 707 KC-135 that flies parabolic arcs to create short periods of weightlessness, used by the NASA to train pilots and astronauts and so named for the effect its near-zero gravity environment has on its crew.

NASA normally uses the Vomit Comet to train astronauts, test equipment and carry out experiments. The fun starts when the plane noses over into a steep dive, creating a free fall that simulates the weightlessness of outer space. But the price for 30 seconds of floating fun is sudden, equal doses of two Gs, or a doubling of Earth's gravity. It's the sudden reversal that causes many passengers to lose their lunch.

FluidPac is a facility to conduct experimental investigations on fluids in weightlessness. It is conceived to allow observation and quantitative measurements of typical thermo-capillary phenomena at a free liquid-gas interface, but other kinds of fluid physics experiments may be performed as well. The instrument is reusable, adaptable to the experiment needs, foresees multi-purpose diagnostics, and can accommodate three to four complex experiment containers.... FluidPac also foresees an interface to an improved telecommand and telemetry unit capable to update several experiment parameters on line.

The Weightless Environment Training Facility(WETF)... consists of a water-filled pool with dimensions of 25 ft.(depth) x 78 ft.(length) x 33 ft.(width). Also included, is a urification system, environmental controls, television monitoring, a 5-ton capacity overhead crane, a test director, and medical support personnel... The WETF is a controlled neutral buoyancy facility used to simulate the conditions of weightlessness for astronaut training. It provides for the evaluation of body restraints, handholds, and extravehicular activity(EVA) equipment; for the development of crew procedures and for the determination of EVA capabilities and workload limits. The facility provides high fidelity simulations of crew on-orbit operations in a controlled environment and substantially reduces human risks when performing EVA operations.

The Volan recoverable vehicle.... Designed to conduct scientific and applied investigations under conditions of weightlessness. It is launched into suborbital trajectories by the Volna booster rocket. The vehicle accommodates the scientific package, power supply sources, control and telemetry instruments, landed vehicle prompt recovery system and has a parachute compartment.... To launch a larger scientific package(up to 400 kg), an upgraded version of the vehicle, dubbed Volan-M, is used. Then it would turn off its engines and coast back to the surface of the atmosphere, where it would again fire its engines and skip back into space. The craft would repeat this process until it reached its destination....
