In this method, the torch precedes the welding rod, ... the torch is held at approximately a 45 degree angle from the vertical away from the direction of welding, with the flame directed at the molten puddle. 3, record 2, French, - soudage%20%C3%A0%20gauche

Flux Cored Wire Welding-FCW. FCW welding is closely related to Gas Metal-Arc Welding(GMAW). The flux filled wire is automatically fed through the centre of the gun using the same equipment as when GMA-welding. The shielding gas is supplied through the gun and protects the weld pool from oxidation during welding. The flux inside the wire will protect the weld from the atmosphere since it forms a slag which covers the weld. 2, record 3, English, - flux%2Dcored%20wire%20welding

3, record 3, French, - soudage%20avec%20fil%20fourr%C3%A9

.. LAST™ armour is a unique armour system for use on aircraft and ground vehicles. It's lightweight, rapidly deployable, field installable and battle proven. LAST armour can be tailored to defeat specific threats, including small arms fire, heavy machine gun armour piercing rounds, 30 mm automatic cannon fire and improvised explosive devices. A major feature that differentiates LAST armour from conventional armour solutions is its unique high-strength hook-and-loop fastening system. Benefits are : LAST Armour can be installed in the field by the crew without the need for cutting, welding, drilling or other specialised equipment; It is applicable to both soft-skinned and armoured platforms which require upgraded protection; Modular kits can be readily moved between platforms and can typically be transferred within one hour; The modular design allows straightforward repair of battle damage; The hook-and-loop technology minimises the need for metallic fixings that could contribute to the spall threat. 3, record 4, English, - LAST%20armour

Up to now, welding two different metals such as steel and aluminum has been a difficult task. Mazda tackles it by optimizing the rotating tool shape and joining characteristics, and by using galvanized steel on one side. A joining gun holds the parts from both sides, and then spins while force is applied. This generates frictional heat that subsequently joins the aluminum materials to the steel sheet metal. Galvanized steel helps prevent the galvanic corrosion that results from the contact of two different types of metal. 1, record 6, English, - joining%20gun

1, record 6, French, - t%C3%AAte%20de%20soudage%20cylindrique
