Several methods of welding exist. In all method, the thermoplastic material is joined by raising the temperature of the substrate to a level that melts the fabric at the interface of the two plies. Pressure applied in a controlled manner promotes the flow of one material into the other and upon cooling a weld bead is formed. 1, record 2, English, - textile%20welding

A welding engineer is a type of materials engineer concerned with all aspects of welding that lead to the manufacture of a product. Welding is the process of using a combination of pressure and heat to fuse separate pieces of metal into one piece. These engineers may research more effective welding techniques or design more efficient equipment to aid in the welding process. They may also oversee manufacturing processes to ensure quality control or evaluate inspection procedures. 2, record 3, English, - welding%20engineer

In friction sealing, the top and bottom halves of cylindrical containers may be easily joined. The bottom member is held against rotation by a friction brake; the top member is pressed against the bottom member and rotated. The heat generated by friction at the interface between the two halves melts their surfaces and the viscous interface causes the bottom half to rotate in unison with the upper half. This effects the seal. 3, record 11, English, - friction%20welding

The plasma-keyhole method is a welding process where the gas flow is restricted through a reduction of the gas orifice. This increases the gas velocity and the arc temperature. Severe constriction of the gas flow produces a cutting arc, which is utilised in plasma arc cutting(PAC). The plasma arc blows a hole through the joint of the plate. Behind the hole the molten metal flows together filling the hole, due to the gravity forces, surface tension and the gas pressure from the shielding gas. 1, record 28, English, - plasma%2Dkeyhole%20welding%20process

2, record 36, French, - soudure%20en%20bout%20par%20r%C3%A9sistance%20pure

A typical Vertrod Thermal Impulse Sealer comprises a pair of jaws, one of which is a resilient pressure jaw and the other the heater jaw containing a heater element in the form of a metal strip of very low heat capacity. After tightly closing the jaws over the film, an electrical impulse is applied to the heater element for a short period, generally less than a second, instantaneously heating the films to their welding temperature. 1, record 41, English, - thermal%20impulse%20sealer
