The [coastal wetland response model] integrated physical and ecological data to evaluate the response of wetland vegetation communities over time to climate change. Data included climatic exposure(e. g., temperature), modelled hydrodynamic data(e. g., water levels), land use, digital elevation models, and data collected from study site-level vegetation surveys... 2, record 1, English, - climatic%20exposure

2, record 1, French, - exposition%20climatique

The biotic productivity of these coastal ecotones is extremely high, rivaling the most intensely cultivated farmlands. Several factors account for this : abundant nutrients; conservation, retention, and efficient recycling of nutrients among benthic, wetland, and pelagic habitat(i. e., coupling of subsystems) ;consortia of phytoplankton, benthic microalgae and macroalgae, seagrasses, mangroves, and fringing saltmarsh vegetation that maximize available light and space; tidal energy and circulation. 2, record 2, English, - biotic%20productivity

1, record 4, French, - faible%20gradient%20de%20surface

The first of its kind in Canada, the Dunkers Flow Balancing System treats polluted stormwater discharged from an outfall located at the base of the Bluffs. A series of five cells, created by using curtains suspended from floating pontoons, are used to settle contaminants found in stormwater. During a rainfall, stormwater enters the first cell and moves through three other cells before entering the wetland area. The wetland, constructed in the fifth cell, provides final cleansing by the vegetation before the water is discharged into Lake Ontario. 1, record 6, English, - flow%20balancing%20system
