Since tonnage measurement is mandatory for registration, you need to know what your obligations are as an owner to determine the tonnage. There are different methods you can use to determine the measurement, including using the assigned formal tonnage, where the tonnage of the ship gets determined by linking the tonnage to the length of your ship. … There is [also] the simplified method, which allows you to determine tonnage based on whether your vessel is a monohull vessel or multihull vessel.

[The identification of] the type of content that will best enable [people or companies] to communicate [their] positioning and achieve [their] online goals, then planning for the creation of that content by allocating time and resources to the effort.

CONT

To succeed in Web content strategy, you also need to know what not to do. Perhaps the most common mistake is overly long content.

OBS

web content strategy: The Translation Bureau recommends in its revised 2013 Linguistic Recommendation that “web” not be capitalized when it is part of a compound, whether the compound is written as two words or one, with or without a hyphen.

OBS

stratégie de contenu Web : Le Bureau de la traduction préconise dans sa Recommandation linguistique révisée en 2013 la majuscule initiale lorsque «Web» est employé après un nom qu’il qualifie. Il est toujours invariable.

  • Electrochemistry
CONT

Electrolysis is the process by which ionic substances are broken down into simpler substances using electricity. During electrolysis, metals and gases may form at the electrodes. …To understand electrolysis, you need to know what an ionic substance is. Ionic substances form when a metal reacts with a non-metal. They contain charged particles called ions. For example, sodium chloride forms when sodium reacts with chlorine. It contains positively charged sodium ions and negatively charged chloride ions. Ionic substances can be broken down by electricity. … For electrolysis to work, the ions must be free to move. Ions are free to move when an ionic substance is dissolved in water or molten(melted). For example, if electricity is passed through copper chloride solution, the copper chloride is broken down to form copper metal and chlorine gas. … Here is what happens during electrolysis : Positively charged ions move to the negative electrode during electrolysis. They receive electrons and are reduced. Negatively charged ions move to the positive electrode during electrolysis. They lose electrons and are oxidised. … So the electrolysis of copper chloride solution produces copper at the negative electrode. But the electrolysis of sodium chloride solution produces hydrogen.

Data dredging bias: when data are reviewed for all possible associations without prior hypothesis, the results are suitable for hypothesis-generating activities only.

OBS

I know there's an association in here somewhere. You’ve got a river of data and nothing's making a ripple. What do you do when you’re looking for something lost in a river of data : Data dredge! All you need is a computer and a good statistical analysis program that can go through your data and look at every possible association. All you have to do is pick the association you think makes your case and write it up.

Carliner has this advice :-If you’re authoring, you need to be able to use the technology, just as you would know your word processor.-You need to be aware of the breadth of learning technology and be familiar with the names of key products.-If you’re making final purchase decisions, you need to understand all of the technology, its capabilities, and its appropriate and inappropriate uses.
