OBS

The term rose window was not used before the 17th century and comes from the English flower name rose.... The name "wheel window" is often applied to a window divided by simple spokes radiating from a central boss or opening, while the term "rose window" is reserved for those windows, sometimes of a highly complex design, which can be seen to bear similarity to a multi-petalled rose.

CONT

Unicycles are composed of a few key parts : the wheel(which includes the tire, tube, rim, spokes, hub and axle), the cranks, pedals, fork-style frame, seatpost, and saddle(the seat of the unicycle). The wheel is usually similar to a bicycle wheel with a special hub designed so the axle is a fixed part of the hub. This means the rotation of the cranks directly controls the rotation of the wheel(called direct drive). The frame sits on top of the axle bearings, while the cranks attach to the ends of the axle. The seatpost links the frame to the saddle.

swift : Another name for a reel. It is a lightweight, collapsible device upon which silk or rayon skeins are spread to be unwound. The swift is an ideal device upon which to place silk or rayon, in different manageable forms, for future use. The swift may be compared with a wheel without the usual rim. The two spokes, one on each side of the hub, of which there are six to eight sets, have a piece of string that joins them at the tips. This cord acts as a support and will form the skein as the rayon or silk is being wound onto the reel.
