A snake robot is a robotic mechanism designed to move like a biological snake. Inspired by the robustness and stability of biological snake locomotion, snake robots carry the potential of meeting the growing need for robotic mobility in unknown and challenging environments. These mechanisms typically consist of many serially connected joint modules capable of bending in one or more planes. The many degrees of freedom of snake robots make them difficult to control but provide potential locomotion skills in cluttered and irregular environments which surpass the mobility of more conventional wheeled, tracked, and legged robots. 3, record 4, English, - snake%20robot

4, record 59, French, - roue%20de%20train%20d%27atterrissage%20principal

The term, which derived from the words costard(a type of apple) and monger, i. e. "seller, "came to be particularly associated with the "barrow boys" of London who would sell their produce from a wheelbarrow or wheeled market stall. Costermongers have existed in London since at least the 16th century, when they were mentioned by Shakespeare. They probably were never more numerous than during the Victorian era, when there were said to be over 30, 000 in 1860. They gained a fairly unsavoury reputation for their "low habits, general improvidence, love of gambling, total want of education, disregard for lawful marriage ceremonies, and their use of a peculiar slang language. Although its approach is not tied to any domain, LOGO is mainly known for its applications in the exploratory learning of mathematics. In particular, the programmable "turtle" for the study of geometry has become famous. The turtle is a simple wheeled device bearing a pen, which can be programmed to move across a sheet of paper to draw geometrical figures. The idea is that a child who can discover how to program the turtle to draw, say, a triangle gains a very practical notion of what a triangle is. However, the use of the turtle is not limited to such simple geometrical concepts, and its power to "verify" concepts has been exploited to give students a personal experience of very advanced mathematical concepts(Abelson and diSessa, 2980). Now that LOGO has become fairly widespread, its concepts have found many application domains beyond mathematics. 3, record 78, English, - exploratory%20learning
