La garantie du droit de propriété. [...] A batch request is appropriate when the HCP [health care professional] requires access to the device for anticipated emergency cases where licensed medical devices are unavailable, and where shipping delays would result in adverse patient outcomes. In this case, the HCP must estimate the number of devices that may be required for emergency treatments for one month. The restriction to a one-month supply of devices is intended to provide sufficient quantities for true emergency cases in the short term, bearing in mind that a suitable licensed device may become available in the near future. The SAP [Special Access Program] maintains the ability to use discretion in enforcing this one month restriction. 1, record 6, English, - batch%20request

In a remote patient monitoring system, physiological data is collected through biomedical sensors in order to evaluate the well-being of patients outside of the hospital setting. Its purpose is to move traditional clinical settings into people's homes, where they live, work, and play. In order for the appropriate decisions to be made, the data collected is wirelessly transmitted to the healthcare provider. Using this type of tele-health, physiological data such as heart rate/pulse rate, respiratory rate, body temperature, blood pressure, and blood oxygen saturation can be measured and transmitted. 1, record 13, English, - remote%20patient%20monitoring%20system

Liberal Plan for Better Health Care. The National Waiting Times Reduction Strategy is a major effort to work to measure and publish existing waiting times, determine which waiting times should be reduced first, and, then to do what it takes to bring waiting times down. The federal government will work collaboratively with provinces and territories, the medical profession and patient groups to define reasonable and medically appropriate waiting times, and to identify the places where they are unacceptably long. Teaching hospitals and regional health authorities--which play such a critical role in the system--will also be asked to contribute to the process. 1, record 38, English, - National%20Waiting%20Times%20Reduction%20Strategy

By orienting and networking such wires, nano-circuitry can potentially be created, which may be of value in the computer industry. The nanostructures can also be incorporated into coatings with optical, electric, magnetic, catalytic, or enzymatic moieties as functional units. A nanoarray is a nanoscale or microscale ordered arrangement of nanotemplates and/or nanostructures. A nanoarray, therefore comprises an ordered array of nanostructures. A nanoarray can have any type of long range packing symmetry, including 2-, 3-, 4-, or 6-fold packing symmetry. The nanoarray can be a one-dimensional structure, a two-dimensional array, or a three-dimensional array. In a specific embodiment, where the nanoparticles are dielectrics, a three-dimensional nanoarray can be a photonic bandgap crystal. Optimal conditions for assembly and crystallization of a nanoarray... are easily determined by routine experimentation, such as by changing each variable individually and monitoring formation of the appropriate products. 3, record 60, English, - nanoarray

We examine how synthetic dynamic nanostructured surfaces control the attachment of pathogenic biofilms. The parameters governing long-range patterning of bacteria on high-aspect-ratio (HAR) nanoarrays are combinatorially elucidated, and we discover that sufficiently low effective stiffness of these HAR arrays mechanoselectively inhibits ~40% of Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm attachment. Inspired by the active echinoderm skin, we design and fabricate externally actuated dynamic elastomer surfaces with active surface microtopography. 4, record 60, English, - nanoarray

The common law recognises two types of servitudes namely, easements and profits à prendre. Equity recognises a type of servitude of its own, the restrictive covenant, as well as equitable easements and profits which could arise, for example, where the appropriate formalities for the creation of a common law right had not been complied with. In addition, the doctrine of non-derogation from grant creates rights which, in all important aspects, are servitudes.(Jackson, 1978, p. 2). 1, record 63, English, - servitude

Under the grantor-grantee or alphabetical index, pages are assigned in the index to each letter of the alphabet. As an instrument is received at the recorder's office, it is first recorded and then indexed under the name of the granting party on the appropriate page of the index. In addition, the county recorder is usually required to make notations on the grantor's page which disclose the name of the other party to the transaction, the book and page of the record where this particular transaction can be found, a description of the property, the date when the instrument was executed, the date when the instrument was filed for recordation, and the nature of the instrument. These same notations are then made as the transaction is indexed under the name of the grantee or the receiving party. After both steps have been completed, the instrument is considered to have been properly indexed.(Axelrod, Berger and Johnstone, 1971, p. 551). 1, record 69, English, - grantor%2Dgrantee%20index

Geomembrane : The term liner applies when a geomembrane is used as an interface or a surface revetment. The term barrier is usually reserved for the cases where the geomembrane is used inside an earth mass. Geomembrane is a generic term which has been proposed to replace many terms such as : synthetic membranes, polymeric membranes, plastic liners, flexible membrane liners, impermeable membranes and impervious sheets. These terms are not appropriate because :(i) synthetic, polymeric and plastic are too restrictive;(ii) geomembranes are not always used as liners;(iii) flexible membrane is redundant; and(iv) no material is absolutely impermeable or impervious. In addition, many users for these materials habitually designate them with trade names, which adds to the terminology confusion. Geomembranes should not be confused with other similar membranes used for such applications as single-ply roofing, floating covers and air supported roof. Also, geomembranes should not be confused with geotextiles [which are permeable by construction]. 2, record 72, English, - geomembrane

Alternatively packed biocatalyst particles can be used in a trickle-flow mode as in some waste-water processes employing microbial flocs.... Packed columns allow a high concentration of biocatalyst to be used. The product molecules or other inhibitors produced during the reaction are constantly swept out of the reactor so that the concentration of products are minimized - so less product inhibition occurs.... 1, record 91, French, - colonne%20d%27enzyme

Due to the profusion of English terms possible, care must be exercised when choosing the correct English term for a given context. When reference is made to a butterfly or moth in its larval stage, then terms that include the words "worm" or "caterpillar" would be more appropriate than those that include the word "moth", which normally would imply that the insect is in its adult stage. However what complicates matters is that the female species of this family of moths does not always develop wings in adulthood. Indeed several female species retain their larval form even in adult life, hence the confusion in usage and the abundance of terms in general circulation. It is recommended however that the shortest term "bagworm" should only be used as a stylistic synonym, in cases where one would prefer not to repeat a longer term already mentioned earlier in a given text. 4, record 96, English, - bagworm%20moth

5, record 96, French, - psych%C3%A9
