At the Millennium Summit in September 2000 the largest gathering of world leaders in history adopted the UN Millennium Declaration, committing their nations to a new global partnership to reduce extreme poverty and setting out a series of time-bound targets, with a deadline of 2015, that have become known as the "Millennium Development Goals." 3, record 2, English, - Millennium%20Development%20Goals

The eight "Millennium Development Goals"("MDGs") – which range from halving extreme poverty rates to halting the spread of HIV/AIDS and providing universal primary education, all by the target date of 2015 – form a blueprint agreed to by all the world's countries and all the world's leading development institutions. They have galvanized unprecedented efforts to meet the needs of the world's poorest. The UN is also working with governments, civil society and other partners to build on the momentum generated by the "MDGs" and carry on with an ambitious post-2015 development agenda. 2, record 2, English, - Millennium%20Development%20Goals

It is sometimes difficult to determine whether a statement is a representation inducing the other party to contract, or a term or stipulation of the contract. It is the terms which give content to the parties’ agreement, and questions of whether a contract has been performed or breached commonly depend on ascertainment and interpretation of the terms agreed. Terms may be express, stated in the contract, or imported by reference to some other document where they are set out in full, or implied into the contract, by common law, by custom and usage, by statute, and in some other ways.(Walker, p. 1211) 2, record 3, English, - term

In addition to the terms which the parties have expressly adopted, there may be other terms imported into the contract, these latter being generally known as implied terms, though this nomenclature is misleading in that it covers a number of dissimilar notions. As a general rule, the courts will enforce not only the terms expressly agreed between the parties, but also those which are to be logically implied from those express terms.... Even where a term may not be logically implied from the words used, the law admits of certain other terms to be implied as follows :(1) terms which the parties probably had in mind but did not express;(2) terms which the parties, whether or not they actually had them in mind, would probably have expressed if the question had been brought to their attention; and(3) terms that, whether or not the parties had them in mind or would have expressed them if they had foreseen the difficulty, are implied rules of law.(9 Hals., 4th ed., p. 224) 1, record 5, English, - implied%20term

In 1930, the Saskatchewan Treaty Protection Association was formed to protect the Treaty Rights of Indians in the Fort Qu'Appelle area. During the 1940's it became the Protective Association for Indians and their Treaties. In 1943, the Association of Indians of Saskatchewan became the largest organization in Saskatchewan. In 1946, a conference was convened by the Government of Saskatchewan at which 60 representatives of the Cree, Sioux, Saulteaux and Assiniboine Tribes of Saskatchewan discussed the feasibility of forming a single Indian organization. A resolution was passed favouring such establishment. Follow up meetings of Saskatchewan Indian leaders representing all Saskatchewan Bands were held at Duck Lake and Saskatoon. This resulted in the formation of the Union of Saskatchewan Indians. In 1957, a conference of Saskatchewan Chiefs and Councillors laid plans for a new organization. A second conference in 1958 resulted in the Federation of Saskatchewan Indians. By the late 1970's the swift pace of the political developments of the Federation of Saskatchewan Indians(FSI) led to the drive for reorganization of the structure and Constitution of the Federation. On April 16, 1982, the Saskatchewan Chiefs agreed to form Canada's first Indian Legislative Assembly. The political convention they signed re-structured the FSI, so that the provincial governing body is no longer a non-profit society but a true federation of nations. Now known as the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations, the Chiefs control the executive and administrative functions of government at the band, tribal council and provincial levels of Indian Government. 1, record 6, English, - Federation%20of%20Saskatchewan%20Indian%20Nations

For years, the civil war in Nicaragua involved the governments and territories of five neighbouring countries. In November 1989, they agreed among themselves to cease all aid to guerrilla movements and not to allow their territories to be used to launch attacks against their neighbours. ONUCA was created to monitor compliance with this agreement. In 1990, the mission was instructed to assist in the voluntary demobilization of anti-government insurgents in Nicaragua, and then to monitor the cease-fire which led to the end of the civil war. Cladogenesis defines those cases of evolution in which one species develops into two or more through adaptation. The classic example is the different species unique to the Galapagos Islands, where small populations of creatures from South America evolved in response to their new ecosystem.... There is disagreement about what constitutes a new species, but it's generally agreed that if the mating of individuals from different populations cannot result in fertile and viable offspring, then they belong to different species. Cladogenesis explains the development of a large assortment of species from a smaller set of ancestral species through evolution. Unlike anagenesis, speciation through cladogenesis does not require the extinction of the ancestral population. Through successive cladogenetic splits, either with or without the extinction of the ancestral population, the total number of species increases over time. Cladogenesis is probably a more common form of evolution and speciation than anagenesis. 2, record 8, English, - cladogenesis

1, record 12, French, - vente%20de%20bloc%20d%27%C3%A9nergie

Is dependent on the initial(original or some level agreed as baseline) distribution of the species. Species with very limited natural ranges(which suggests they are a relict population or have very specific habitat requirements) cannot tolerate the percentage reduction in habitat that a widely distributed species can. Small might, therefore, be defined for relict populations as the majority of existing range or, for species with large populations and wide distribution, a lower percentage of the historical population distribution. 1, record 14, English, - small%20portion

1, record 14, Spanish, - peque%C3%B1a%20parte

Fees For Quick Commitment. The Argentine loan, terms for which were agreed upon in April, includes options allowing banks to lend in conjunction with the World Bank, to convert debt into equity investments, and to exchange as much as $5 million of their loans for so-called exit bonds. These can be traded, allowing banks to sell some of their Argentine loans. Also, for the first time in a loan to a bid debtor country, the credit includes fees for banks that join it quickly. Creditor banks had until the close of business Wednesday to claim a fee of three-eights percentage point for joining the credit quickly. If banks join within the next four weeks, they get a fee of one-eighth point. 2, record 15, English, - fees%20for%20early%20commitment

For the period of this mandate, the term of which, unless otherwise stipulated, cannot exceed thirty days, the States in dispute cease from all direct communication on the subject of the dispute, which is regarded as referred exclusively to the mediating Powers, which must use their best efforts to settle it.
