Hematology analyzers are also called cell counters as they are used to make a complete blood count(CBC) including red blood cell(RBC), white blood cell(WBC), hemoglobin, and platelet counts, as well as hematocrit levels and many other parameters.... The difference between a 3-part differential cell counter and 5-part cell counter is that a 3-part cell counter reports only 3 types of WBCs(neutrophils, lymphocytes, and monocytes) while a 5-part can differentiate all WBC types(neutrophils, lymphocytes, basophils, eosinophils, and monocytes). 3, record 1, English, - 3%2Dpart%20differential%20automated%20hematology%20analyzer

Formed elements consist of three things : red blood cells(RBCs/erythrocytes), white blood cells(WBCs/leucocytes), and platelets(thrombocytes). Further, WBCs have granulocytes(neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils) and agranulocytes(monocytes, lymphocytes)... In all cases, an automated blood cell counter calculates the number of cells in these areas to see if it is between the ideal range to ensure everything is perfectly fine. Therefore, an automated blood cell counter or hematology analyzer is a machine that automatically counts the blood cells from the given sample of blood and displays the count as a result. 1, record 2, English, - automated%20blood%20cell%20counter

Phagocytosis [is a] process by which certain living cells called phagocytes ingest or engulf other cells or particles. The phagocyte may be a free-living one-celled organism, such as an amoeba, or one of the body cells, such as a white blood cell. In some forms of animal life, such as amoebas and sponges, phagocytosis is a means of feeding. In higher animals, phagocytosis is chiefly a defensive reaction against infection and invasion of the body by foreign substances(antigens). 2, record 5, English, - phagocytosis

Acute lymphocytic leukemia(ALL) develops when the DNA of a stem cell in the bone marrow changes. The change is acquired, which means that it is not present at birth. ALL develops and progresses quickly. ALL occurs when the bone marrow makes too many abnormal lymphoblasts(immature lymphocytes). These immature cells(called blasts or leukemia cells) do not develop into mature, healthy cells. As the number of blasts increases in the bone marrow and blood, they crowd out healthy white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets. 5, record 6, English, - acute%20lymphoblastic%20leukemia

4, record 6, French, - leuc%C3%A9mie%20aigu%C3%AB%20lymphoblastique

Those mast cells, relatives of white blood cells, are common in the surface tissues of the body, where they wait for reexposure to the antigen like mines floating in a harbor. When the antigen returns and touches two or more IgE molecules, the mast cell pours out a cocktail of at least ten chemicals. Some are enzymes that attack any nearby cells; some activate platelets; some attract other white cells to the site; some can stimulate smooth muscle(thereby causing asthma). One, histamine, causes itching and swelling, unpleasant effects that can be blocked by antihistamines. 2, record 14, English, - mast%20cell
