The Pagan holiday called Yule takes place on the day of the winter solstice, around December 21 in the northern hemisphere(below the equator, the winter solstice falls around June 21). On that day, [the] earth's axis tilts away from the sun in the Northern Hemisphere, and the sun reaches its greatest distance from the equatorial plane.... As a festival of the Sun, the most important part of any Yule celebration is light — candles, bonfires, and more. 2, record 1, English, - Yule

2, record 1, French, - Yule

The Olympic Games, or Olympics, are an international multi-sport event taking place every four years and comprising summer and winter games. Originally held in ancient Greece, they were revived by a French nobleman, Pierre Frèdy, Baron de Coubertin in the late 19th century. The Summer Olympics(Games of the Olympiad) have been held every fourth year starting in 1896, except in 1916, 1940, and 1944 due to the World Wars. A special edition for winter sports, the Olympic Winter Games, was first held in 1924. The first Winter Olympics competitions were originally held as a non-olympic sport festival, but were declared to be official games by the International Olympic Committee in 1925. Originally these were held in the same year as the Summer Olympics, but from 1994 on the Winter Games and the Summer Games have been held two years apart. 3, record 2, English, - Olympic%20Games

4, record 2, French, - Jeux%20Olympiques

Hogmanay is the Scots word for the last day of the year and is synonymous with the celebration of the New Year in the Scottish manner. Its official date is the 31 December. However this is normally only the start of a celebration which lasts through the night until the morning of the 1 January or, in many cases, 2 January. The roots of Hogmanay reach back to the pagan celebration of the winter solstice. In Europe, this evolved into the ancient celebration of Saturnalia, a great Roman winter festival, where people celebrated completely free of restraint and inhibition. The Vikings celebrated Yule, which later became the Twelve Days of Christmas, or the "Daft Days" as they were sometimes called in Scotland. The winter festival went underground with the Protestant Reformation and ensuing years, but re-emerged near the end of the 17th century. 1, record 3, English, - Hogmanay
