The four most common means of collecting asbestos settled dust samples are :· Adhesive lift sampling. · Wipe sampling. · Passive sampling. · "Microvacuum" sampling.... Of these methods, microvacuum sampling is the most commonly used. A protocol has been established by the American Society for Testing and Materials(ASTM) for collecting and analyzing asbestos microvacuum samples. Samples are collected using either a 25mm or 37mm air sampling cassette using a plastic tube that acts as a nozzle.
