The BayNet initiative build on North Bay's solid telecommunications backbone..., to create what Sajatovic terms, a "wired city. That's everybody being able to communicate with each other, whether it's voice or data or video. "A public-and private-sector project, BayNet represents the efforts of about 15 people including the city corporation, Nippissing, Canadore, Northern Telecom, IBM Canada and Bell Canada.
