CONT

To be acidic rain must also have more sulphate (SO4=) and nitrate (NO3-) anions as compared to calcium (Ca++) and magnesium (Mg++) cations for example. The excess anions are then balanced by hydrogen ions (H+) making rain acid.

CONT

As a solution containing calcium or magnesium ion (for example, hard water) comes in contact with the zeolite, these ions displace the sodium ions and are thus removed from the solution.

OBS

Every cation is necessarily an ion; an ion must be wither a cation or an anion.

CONT

OBS

Formule chimique : Mg++; Mg2+

OBS

Subject field(s)
  • Plant Diseases
  • Grain Growing
DEF

A bacterial disease that attacks forage grasses and cereal grains.

CONT

Bacterial leaf streak(Xanthomonas campestris subsp holcicola) is widely distributed on sorghums-including sudangrass and Johnsongrass. Other plants that may become infected include corn, pearl millet, and foxtail millet. Narrow, water-soaked and translucent(1/8 by 1 to 6 inch long streaks), with red or brown borders and irregular blotches of color interrupting the streaks, form on the leaves. Irregular, oval blotches develop later as lesions enlarge and merge covering much of the leaf blade. The blotches have tan centers and red or brown margins. When infection is severe, leaves may wither and drop early.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Maladies des plantes
  • Culture des céréales
DEF

English

Subject field(s)
  • Food Industries
CONT

To resolve the question of a product's nature, the marketer must determine whether the product comes within the category of foodstuffs or another category, in particular that of medicine. This question is critical where the product is a food supplement, i. e. a product with a nutritional aim or other health food. Under French law, food supplements do not exist presently as a separate category of products. Thus, all products having a nutritional aim need to be categorised wither as foodstuffs or as medicines...

CONT

It's desirable that the horse should be built slightly uphill(from croup to wither) rather than the opposite, croup high. The croup-high horse will find it more difficult to collect. In collection the horse needs to flex his hocks and lower his croup taking the weight behind; this is called the ability to "sit". Being croup high can also make it easier for a horse to lose balance.

OBS

This horse is high in the croup making for a downhill horse to the front. This will make this horse heavy on the front.
