The addition should be systematically used on cover pages, in titles, headings and at the beginning of documents. In the body of a text, it is appropriate stylistically to omit the words "of Canada."

In northern Nova Scotia, Upper Triassic rocks of the Fundy Group comprises two sedimentary units separated by basalts flows. The lower sedimentary unit, formerly called the Annapolis Formation, consists of the Wolfville and the Blomidon Formations.
