Edmonton Institution for Women(EIFW) is a multi-level facility located in the western part of Edmonton, Alberta. It opened in 1995 and can accommodate up to 123 inmates. Medium-and minimum-security inmates are accommodated in living units within a Structured Living Environment. Maximum-security inmates are accommodated in the Secure Unit.
