Dimension lumber is solid sawn wood that is less than 89 mm(3. 5 in) in thickness. Lumber can be referred to by its nominal size in inches, which means the actual size rounded up to the nearest inch or by its actual size in millimeters.... The predominant use of dimension lumber in building construction is in framing of roofs, floors, shearwalls, diaphragms, and load bearing walls.

This wall system uses less wood than conventional framing and when filled with cellulose is non-toxic, has low air-infiltration, is resistant to insects and rodents, can be very well insulated(12 inches or more) with no thermal bridging.

In addition to the... all purpose chimneys, there are two types of vents, used with gas heating... Type BW vents are similar to Type B, but they are oval shaped for use in confined areas such as between framing joints. These vents may be used in new installations and as liners in existing masonry chimneys. They are totally inadequate for use with wood or other solid fuel-burning appliances.

Type B vents are designed to be used with the cooler, cleaner by-products of natural gas or propane combustion.
