The Jackson Vocational Interest Survey(JVIS) was designed to assist high school and college students, as well as adults, with educational and career planning. There are 289 pairs of statements describing job related activities. Scoring yields a sex-fair profile along 34 basic interest scales. These scales encompass work role dimensions relevant to a variety of occupations and work style scales indicative of work environment preferences.

The 2005 National Survey of the Work and Health of Nurses(NSWHN) represents a collaborative effort involving the Canadian Institute for Health Information, Health Canada and Statistics Canada. The NSWHN was designed to examine links between the work environment and the health of regulated nurses in Canada, and is the first nationally representative survey of its kind. The survey's high response rate-80%-reflects the enthusiasm with which nurses involved themselves in the survey. Co-published by Health Canada and Canadian Institute for Health Information, December 2006.

L'Enquête nationale sur le travail et la santé du personnel infirmier (ENTSPI) de 2005 est le résultat d'une collaboration entre l'Institut canadien d'information sur la santé, Santé Canada et Statistique Canada. L'ENTSPI a permis d'étudier les liens entre le milieu de travail et la santé des infirmières réglementées au Canada. Il s'agit de la première enquête représentative du genre à l'échelle nationale. Le taux de réponse élevé (80 %) témoigne de l'enthousiasme avec lequel les infirmières ont participé à l'enquête. The international project, World Values Surveys(WVS) may be described as a series of intercultural studies on the basis of interviews with representative population samples from about 40 countries 1981-1984 and 1990-1993. An other was conducted during 1995-1997. The interviews map the respondents views on work, health, the economy, the family, the environment, politics, morals religion etc. The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research, University of Michigan, conducted the survey.
