Le Projet sur les tendances tirera parti des efforts déployés par le Projet de recherche sur les politiques (PRP) en y ajoutant de nouvelles perspectives et idées. Certains éminents scientifiques du Canada, en collaboration avec le Secrétariat de la recherche sur les politiques du Gouvernement fédéral, dirigent des équipes pluridisciplinaires comptant au total plus de 50 chercheurs et scientifiques qui examinent huit grandes tendances. Grâce à leurs travaux, il sera possible de mieux comprendre les moteurs du changement au Canada et leurs répercussions éventuelles sur la politique publique.
