The most unusual aspect of the [inner shell photoabsorption] spectrum is that the lowest energy peak, corresponding to the promotion of a ls electron to the first unfilled... orbital, has an area which is much greater(by a factor of the order of 10) than the sum of the areas of all the other discrete peaks below the ionization threshold. This is attributable... to the fact that the [first unfilled] orbital is highly localized, being confined to the vicinity of the molecular core by a centrifugal barrier in its d-wave component. The existence of this barrier is also well known from the work on shape resonances in electron scattering... 2, record 2, English, - shape%20resonance

Human Resources Development Canada(HRDC) through its network of Human Resource Centres, administers the Caribbean/Mexican Seasonal Agricultural Workers Program on behalf of the Government of Canada. HRDC requires employers, through their human resource planning strategies, to ensure that Canadian citizens and permanent residents are always considered for employment before employing foreign workers. The Caribbean/Mexican Seasonal Agricultural Workers’ Program was first implemented in 1966 following negotiations between Canada and Jamaica to facilitate the entry of Jamaican workers for temporary employment in the growing and processing of agricultural products during peak demand periods. The C/MSAWP was created to provide a supplementary source of reliable and qualified seasonal labour in order to improve Canada's prosperity by ensuring that crops are planted and harvested in a timely fashion. These measures help to maintain the livelihoods of Canadian and permanent resident workers in the agricultural industry as well as in other industries that directly or indirectly participate in and benefit from a strong and vital agricultural industry. In Ontario this program has responded to a critical shortage of available workers suitable for seasonal agricultural work. 3, record 3, English, - Caribbean%20and%20Mexican%20Seasonal%20Agricultural%20Workers%20Program

2, record 3, French, - Programme%20des%20travailleurs%20agricoles%20saisonniers%20des%20Antilles%20et%20du%20Mexique

The Labourer-Teacher program(L-T for short) is the original literacy program of Frontier College. We recruit, train and send Labourer-Teachers to work and teach across Canada. Currently Labourer-Teachers are placed primarily in agricultural settings : on farms and in processing plants. They have also worked on rail gangs, in lumber and mining camps, in prisons, in urban factories and in remote communities. Wherever they are, Labourer-Teachers do the same heavy labour jobs as other workers. In peak season, this can mean 12 hours per day, 6-7 days per week. For this work, Labourer-Teachers are paid the same as their co-workers-usually minimum wage. In addition to this physical work, Labourer-Teachers volunteer their time to provide educational and recreational opportunities for their co-workers. These activities are determined by the interests of people in their workplace. 1, record 5, English, - Labourer%2DTeacher%20program

The name "Point d’Angleterre" was given to a Flemish lace produced at the time when the law prohibiting the importation of foreign laces(in England and France) was being strictly enforced. It is a mixed technique of very fine bobbin lace(Duchesse) on a needlepoint net with needle lace motifs for the fillings. The wealth of floral designs and the fineness of the petals, pearls, and snowdrops in the appliqué work are perfectly balanced. This type of lace reached its peak in Flanders during the 19th century. 1, record 7, English, - point%20d%27Angleterre

Point d'Angleterre. 1, record 7, French, - point%20d%27Angleterre
