To ensure its continued viability as an ISR [intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance] platform, the RCAF [Royal Canadian Air Force] additionally developed the Aurora Extension Proposal(AEP), which combines the original Aurora Incremental Modernization Project and the Aurora Structural Life Extension Project(ASLEP) with three additional capability enhancements. Two redundant cable reels support the Mobile Transporter and Mobile Base System, a movable platform that allows the station's robotic arm to move back and forth along the truss during construction and maintenance work. The Trailing Umbilical System 2 cable appears to have been cut by the system designed to sever it if it ever became snarled or tangled. Video down linked from station cameras confirmed the cable was cut. The Trailing Umbilical System 1 was not affected. The inadvertent severing of the cable tripped one of two redundant circuit breakers on the S0 Truss, which provides power to the Mobile Transporter. The transporter is not scheduled to be used in the near future, but the severed Trailing Umbilical System 2 cable can be replaced through a spacewalk to provide the required redundancy. 3, record 18, English, - trailing%20umbilical%20system

Summit University is the educational branch of The Summit Lighthouse. Founded by Mark Prophet in 1971, it served as platform for the release of original teachings of the ascended masters for nearly three decades. It's current mission is to organize this abundance of teachings into well-defined courses of study for seekers worldwide. Summit University's teaching events take the form of online study courses, weekend seminars and longer retreats, usually providing one or more in-depth topical programs. Students not only immerse themselves in the subject matter but also find ample opportunity for experiential work through meditations, introspective and interactive exercises and prayer work. 1, record 27, English, - Summit%20University

The Special Purpose Dexterous Manipulator(SPDM) is an essential tool for maintaining and servicing the Space station. With its dual-arm design providing added flexibility, the SPDM will remove and replace smaller components; on the Station exterior, where precise handling : is required. It will be equipped with lights, video equipment, a tool platform and four tool holder. The SPDM can perform dexterous tasks by sensing various forces and moments on the payload. In response, it can automatically compensate its movements to ensure the payload is manipulated smoothly. With its two arms, the SPDM will load and unload objects, use robotic tools, attach and detach covers and install various units of the Space Station. It will either be attached to the end of Canadarm2 or ride independently on the Mobile Base System [MBS] and have Canadarm2 deliver equipment to it for servicing. It also has four cameras that will provide the crew inside the Station with additional views of the work areas. Like Canadarm2 and the MBS, the Special Purpose Dexterous Manipulator will be controlled by the crew inside the International Space Station. This system will allow the crew to perform many of the tasks that would otherwise require an astronaut to perform during a demanding spacewalk. 5, record 28, English, - special%20purpose%20dexterous%20manipulator

5, record 28, French, - manipulateur%20agile%20sp%C3%A9cialis%C3%A9

S1-Truss. Dimensions : 13. 7 meters x 4. 6 meters x 1. 8 meters(45 feet x 15 feet x 6 feet) [;] Weight : 14, 124 kilograms(31, 137 pounds). The S1 Truss, the first starboard truss segment, was attached to the starboard side of the S0 Truss Oct. 10, 2002. The S1 Truss provides structural support for the Active Thermal Control System, Mobile Transporter and one Crew and Equipment Translation Aid cart. The cart is manually operated by a spacewalker and can also be used as a work platform. The cooling system is like the one in a car radiator except that it uses 99. 9 percent pure ammonia, compared to 1 percent in household products. The Thermal Radiator Rotary Joint rotates the three radiator structures in a 105-degree span either way to keep the three radiators panels in the shade; it also transfers power and ammonia to the radiators. The S1 Truss also has mounts for cameras and lights, as well as antenna support equipment for S-band communications equipment. 11, record 32, English, - S1%20truss

It is the center segment of 11 integrated trusses that will provide the foundation for station subsystem hardware installation, utility distribution, power generation, heat rejection and external payload accommodations. The S0 truss acts as the junction from which external utilities are routed to the pressurized modules by means of EVA-deployed umbilicals. The S0 truss is going to the space station with a complement of pre-integrated hardware to increase ISS functionality, including the Mobile Transporter, the Trailing Umbilical System, the Portable Work Platform, four Global Positioning System antennas, two rate gyros, an Extravehicular Charged Particle Detection System and umbilicals for U. Atlantis (STS-110, mission 8A) rejoignait l'ISS [International Space Station] pour doter la Station d'une nouvelle structure : l'Integrated Truss Structure SO (le segment central de la poutre de 91 m à terme).

It consists of a railed platform affixed to a frame that slides up or down on a vertical mast set on a mobile base. The platform can be raised or lowered mechanically by a hand crank winch and cable suspension system. Or, the units can be powered up and down hydraulically or by compressed air.
