CLICOM : Acronym for CLImate COMputing which, along with INFOCLIMA, is a WCDMP [World Climate Data and Monitoring Programme] project to coordinate the implementation, maintenance and upgrading of automated climate data management procedures and systems in WMO [World Meteorological Organization] member countries. CLICOM is a system for the collection, quality control and archiving of climate data and the production of climate applications products. INFOCLIMA is a system developed to provide information on climate data sets which are available in various services and institutions as well as information about observing station networks and National Climate Centers.

... of the World Meteorological Organization(WMO). The purpose of the World Climate Data and Monitoring Programme(WCDMP) is to ensure that WMO Members have access to reliable climate data and products derived from existing observations of the global climate system that are in formats suitable for their use. The programme addresses specifically the data requirements for climate change detection, climate applications, monitoring and research, the assessment of impacts on climate, the validation of climate models and forecasts, and the development of strategies to mitigate potentially adverse effects of climate variations and change.
