A Rex rabbit differentiates from other rabbits mainly due to its unusual velvet like fur. This fur is thick and short and stands straight up creating a very plush effect.... In 1924, these unique rabbits made their world famous debut at the great Paris International Rabbit Show.... In 1928, again at the Paris International Exhibition, Rex made another grand debut. This time the varieties in exhibit were Chinchilla Rex, Ermine(White) Rex, Black Seal Rex, Black Otter Rex, Blue Mole Rex, Squirrel Rex, and Castor Rex.

The Utopia Pavilion was one of the most noticed of the five theme pavilions at Portugal' s World Exhibition in Lisbon. For the first time at a World or Universal Exhibition, a show was staged for over 3 million spectators. It took co-author and artistic director François Confino three years during which he worked with American, Canadian, French and Portuguese staff to see this incredible challenge through. Soaring effects and gigantic special effects were specially designed, and extremely complex mechanical systems bred movement into flexible materials and stage sets at an unusually large scale. Through close collaboration with Philippe Genty, the director, Oceans & Utopias enticed the audience on a fascinating journey through mythology, conquest and the anguish of those at sea known to everyone faced with the boundlessness of the ocean.

Parmi les cinq pavillons thématiques du Portugal de l'exposition mondiale de Lisbonne en 1998, le pavillon Utopia a été l'un des plus remarqués. Pour la première fois dans le cadre d'une exposition mondiale ou universelle, un spectacle a été donné à voir à plus de 3 millions de personnes. Dans un stade couvert construit pour l'occasion, 6 500 spectateurs en moyenne ont assisté 4 fois par jour, pendant 130 jours d'affilée, aux 520 représentations du spectacle. Sous la direction artistique de François Confino et de Philippe Genty, trois ans de travail avec des équipes américaines, canadiennes, françaises et portugaises ont été nécessaires pour mener à bien ce défi. Des effets d'envols et des effets spéciaux de grande envergure ont été spécifiquement développés pour ce spectacle tandis que des systèmes mécaniques très élaborés ont permis de mettre en mouvement à une échelle inhabituelle des matériaux souples et des éléments de décors. «Océans et Utopies» a entraîné les spectateurs dans un fascinant parcours onirique à travers les mythologies, les conquêtes et les angoisses aquatiques de ceux qui se sont confrontés aux étendues océanes.

Whoop-Up Days is a non-profit festival, exhibition, and rodeo held in Lethbridge, Alberta for 5 days in the last full week of every August. The event includes a 4-km parade through downtown, daily concerts, bull riding, a rodeo, an indoor and outdoor trade show, entertainment on the free stage, a midway, Hobby World and city-wide pancake breakfasts. Whoop-Up Days takes place at the Exhibition Park, which is on the eastern edge of the city.

The exhibition presents Martin Frobisher's 1576-78 expeditions to Nunavut in Arctic Canada as an important event in the long history of relationships between Inuit and Europeans. This was the first European expedition to search for a Northwest Passage to Asia, the first large scale mining venture in Canada, and the earliest attempt by the English to establish a colony in the New World.
